2014 Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gabriel, Hawkins, and Benjamin are basically all the same guy to me, with Hawkins being more polished running routes. Little bit more shifty than those two as well.

All very capable receivers though. Gabriel was a good find by Farmer, Hawkins was a nice under the radar signing, and Benjamin was a good flier by the former management team. Hopefully at least 2 out of the 3 can stay healthy at the same time. The offense is going to be extremely enjoyable once Gordon gets back and he shifts those guys into a role that fits them better. They actually have a foundation on offense, exciting times.

My only criticism of the receiving corps. The only guy with size is Austin, and he is running on fumes. I hope once Cameron gets in gear, they can contend for balls despite being covered, like Graham and Colston in New Orleans.

PFF rankings for the Offensive Line:

LT - Joe Thomas - +7.0
LG - John Greco - +5.9
C - Alex Mack - +6.4
RG - Joel Bitonio - +9.9
RT - Mitchell Schwartz - +4.0

:slamdunk:

We also have a guy on IR who scored a (+5.6) last year for the Super Bowl Champs with a whopping (+8.8) in run blocking. Not sure whose spot he takes, but it'll be nice to have depth next year..... because we're screwed if someone goes down this year.

Had Gabriel been nicknamed The Sledgehammer yet?

Flash, Hawk, and Sledgehammer sounds like a pretty legit group of receivers to me.

Better than the Lollipop Guild, at least.

So has Bitonio been the best rookie by a mile?

I wonder if they draft an O Lineman again with one of our first rounders next year, to keep the studs flowing in. Mack might be gone right? We're seeing the benefits of having a line packed with quality maulers. Then use the other 1st on an offensive weapon I presume, although the defense needs a shit ton of help.... ugh. Fix a hole and two more open up.

No.

All of these guys are on for at least the next three years I believe, with the exception of Schwartz who I think is two years away from FA.

TRich makes it to the 46\/ on that play. 47, if the OLine would actually bother blocking for him. 48, if he had a decent FB. Might even scamper all the way down to the 50 if we had a Qb that could stretch the defense... and if he falls forward ofc.

So what's the deal with John Hughes being a healthy scratch against the Titans? Is this an issue with his fit in the defensive scheme this year?

Unless they're just not disclosing an injury you would think they might want to get their best run defender on the field for a few snaps.

(This is a hail mary attempt to get people to discuss anything other than the couple of topics everyone's been sniping at each other over since the start of the season)

I really hope the Joe Haden and the boys pick up their intensity on the defensive side

I'm relieved. Was hoping he got no suspension for the hit.

No fine for Skrine? Mustn't have been that dirty.

Why would Skrine get fined? He got correctly penalized for the play, but it wasn't a malicious hit or anything. Locker only got hurt because he cracked his hand on Skrine's helmet.
