2014 NFL Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sal Pal is on Browns Daily (even though Sal Pal is in Berea and Vic is in NY). He said the Browns are seriously, seriously having conversations with Atlanta. This makes me think that Khalil Mack won't be on the Browns. Just a guess.

I think the Atlanta trade could be for Mack, but it could also be to secure Matthews or Lewan. Also, just guessing.

If we move back to 6 with Atlanta, which I'll go out on a limb and say I highly doubt, I'd guess they'd try to move what they get from Atlanta, and our 26th to move up, and use 35 and a bit of ammunition to go up into the 29-32 range.

1. Clowney
2. Watkins
3. Someone not named Mack.

Browns move back to six, Oakland "shocks" at goes QB once Mack goes off the board, Browns take Robinson at six (or Evans).

Move up to take QB, TB or Carr.

Falling player.

It also wouldn't shock me that they try to get a third pick early, so that they can package two together to make a big jump. (One blue for two reds quote from Farmer?)

I know the analytics study has already been discussed, but the results getting leaked to Jason La Canfora less than 24 hours before the draft has Mike Lombardi's fingerprints all over it. F#*K Mike Lombardi.

My annual unfollowing of Jason LaCanfora happened a few days ago. No tip picking for me.

I have no interest in drafting a quarterback that's calm under pressure and makes quick decisions. His excellent ball placement on the run is also a major turnoff. Stop posting tweets about him.

There are plenty of people on this board who have done enough research to form a credible opinion on many of these guys.

A "credible" opinion? Sure. But there are some people who are dogmatic about it, absolutely positive that players upon which even actual experts don't agree have some clear distinction that everyone else has just missed. And the reality is that a lot of folks also form their opinions based on either pure measureables or write-ups written by other people. But they act as though the opinion is really based on their own wannabe-expert personal observation.

Calm down, folks. Teams are not going to rush out to grab Bridgewater ahead of us just because of a media report. They were already going to try to get him if that's the case.

Define "actual experts."

I don't put "people who talk on TV for a living" in that category, as much as some would like to.

I'm quite calm, but I'll take any chance I can to tell Mike Lombardi to fornicate with himself.

I just ran the analytics on the movie "The Bodyguard". It grossed 122 million dollars, which was 7th best in all of 1992.

Whitney and Costner are rising on the big board leading up to the draft tonight!

I wish Jernigan was forced to attend the draft; he could walk out to "Because I got High."
