I would definitely say he's our best power hitter, but I would put Brantley ahead of him any day of the week at the plate. He's just that good of a hitter.

Also, I'm very tired of hearing about Lonnie Chisenhall.. I know we have some good stat guys around here, can anybody tell me what his average would be if he didn't have that insane month? Career .250 hitter in my eyes, with very questionable defense.

He needs to stop acting like every pitch that is somewhat inside is right by his gut.

Can't stand when he backs away from a strike with his little acting job.

Lonnie hit .362, .373, and .311 in each of the season's first 3 months. Which month would you like to take out? He's had a subpar July. I don't think anybody thought he'd hit .350 all year, but he's kept a good approach at the plate which bodes well from his long-term hitting prospects. He's not gonna win any batting titles, but he should be able to settle in as a consistent presence in the line up. The defense is a problem, I agree, moving him elsewhere has already been discussed in the past.

I don't think anybody should be criticizing Santana's plate approach. Being too patient was never his problem during his cold spells.

Great game for Danny Z.

More power to you for responding to that Santana suggestion seriously. Guy said Santana should cut his walks IN HALF. Basically advocating for him to stop getting on base and having productive at-bats constantly and consistently. My god.
