How did Kluber get so good this year out of nowhere? Definitely the best surprise of the Tribe's season this year.

Just a casual observer, but for me its obvious the he has gained control of throwing his #2 and #3 pitches for strikes. This is key for him.

And that late-breaking ball on the lefties that dives towards their back foot, that helps too :chuckles:

Wasn't this year. Started developing an excellent breaking ball back in 2012 in Columbus and has steadily improved since then. The pitch gave him a true 'out' pitch which he lacked before that. As he gained confidence in it and cut down on giving up the big inning. Also has seen an uptick in velocity to go with it. Has always had good command otherwise. Just put it all together this year at 28.
