2014 Series #48 -|- Indians @ Astros -|- Sept. 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Boobie what do you think the Indians can do next year with a few moves and an improved defense and this pitching staff continuing to get better? All 3 which aren't impossible to fathom

I don't really see the Indians having a ton of room to add because of the Swisher contract. I think what they DO have is a young team who can really make noise, especially with some power arms in the starting rotation. If they can stay healthy they're going to be just fine, I think they'll most certainly add a late inning compliment to Shaw to help stabilize the back-end.

The defense gets better with continuity IMO, Chisenhall seems to be getting better and better at 3B. Ramirez and/or Lindor are definitive upgrades at SS, Kipnis getting healthy makes him better, Santana has REALLY gotten better at 1B during the second half.

They'll benefit by the fact the Tigers are losing Scherzer, and will presumably lose Victor Martinez as well taking a huge chunk of their offense and pitching away.

I'll go on record right now and say the division will NOT be won by Detroit next season. Cleveland and Kansas City will absolutely have a chance to take that crown and I don't think Detroit gets much better this off-season. They'll have to fill holes to fill the aforementioned losses, and they STILL don't have a late inning option that makes them competitive late into October.

We don't need another starting pitcher if the staff is convinced TJ House is a legitimate MLB starter, and his run is not a fluke. If they believe it will be hard for him to repeat it, they might need another one. Rotation looks nice regardless.

I don't see how they can go into next season without adding some kind of impactful bat though.

And yea, they'll need another reliever, because you can't expect Atchison to repeat this season.

Can the Indians pull a Cavaliers with 2.1 % shot to get in the playoffs?? lol prob not but interesting

Tigers pick up a waiver wire guy and he turns into JD Martinez. Indians pick up a guy for peanuts who was going to be waived and they end up with JB Shuck. So it goes...

Yeah, don't get why we keep playing him.

Wow Houston just got a break.

haha Cleveland teams always seem to pick the "world possible" outcome feature

Tribe ties it up at 1 in the 9th!

Kipnis benched. Long overdue-- he's drowning at the dish.

40 man roster and Shuck and Aviles are hitting in pivotal situations.

They're saying he's injured. I sure wish they'd go with Ramirez/Lindor up the middle for the final week, but they won't.

You all need to go check out the juggernaut lineup the Angels are throwing out there against the Mariners and King Felix tonight

Injured.... Wink wink.

Even the announcers, both crews, Underwear/Manning and Rosie/Hamilton are talking about how he's completely lost.

Problem is, I think his issues at the dish go beyond the oblique strain....
