2015-2016 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really not sure who I want to win tomorrow between Bulls and Warriors. I guess I really don't want the Bulls to be back in first place, and them losing puts us a full game ahead of them. Actually, Bulls losing and us winning against the Hawks on Sat would give us a pretty decent leg up on the East.

There are 70 games left in the season.

Windy just said that Draymond Green may be a top 10 player in the league and is playing like a miniature Lebron James.

Curry is clearly their stud, but Green is what makes the whole thing work I think with his defense/versatility.

The Warriors would be up shit creek without him, and I think people as a whole are still at times skeptical of the Warriors because they don't see Green as being a "star" the same way they may other PF's because he doesn't score a ton.

Since the start of last season, the Warriors are 3-3 when they trail by 20 or more at any point. The rest of the NBA is 13-486.

That is a ridiculous stat.

By having a larger sample size
We do have that though - this lineup is what began the Cavs' demise in Game 4. Yes the sample size for this season is small, but that doesn't mean the Cavs won't have to have an answer for it in June.

@priceFTW had a post in this thread about Draymond's importance to the team, and it was crazy how much he means to them.

Just another reason I hate GS and that donkey faced Green. Why couldn't he have been greedy. No doubt he is a max player. GSW got him for an absolute steal. Agree with you fully he makes so much of what they do work.

Also has anyone noticed a lot of our enemies look like animals? Bosh is clearly a velociraptor. Pau is an ostrich. Draymond is a donkey. And Dunleavy is a horse. Seems like an awful lot of animal rivals to be coincidence...

They will not maintain that offensive rating is my point. 48 minutes is literally a game. Something tells me having Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving available would have made their lineup easier to counter.

Even if we had Love to play the 5 instead of TT I think we would have won that series. Congrats to the Warriors though. The most opportunistic team of all time. I think a lot of people think the grass is greener when it isn't. We have something great here. Enjoy it and we can worry about that team in Oakland in May-June.

Why go there when so many people say the same shit about David Blatt?

No one is talking about how prolific of a coach Walton is. Meanwhile everyone was losing their shit when they were playing well with Steve Kerr as their coach. And Mark Jackson got no credit for making the team what it is. Blatt did kind of have to coach because he had to integrate so many different pieces throughout the season, while Golden State's roster had for the most part stayed the same between the '15 and '15 seasons.

It just bothers me that one guy gets so much credit while others seem to get nothing for doing exactly the same. Blatt hasn't really been praised. Everyone HAS been saying shit about this team. But no one with a voice has said it about the Warriors.

I think a big part of it is Kerr is hailed as a genius, and won coach of the year, and Blatt has gotten very little credit in the media. If it was consistent I would agree with you, but Kerr's perception in the media was much, much higher than Blatt's. Hell even now all people can talk about is the revolutionary genius Stevens is in Boston. I wouldn't be surprised if Blatt doesn't win coach of the year this year even if he has the best record. maybe I'm a homer I just feel like the perceptions of the two coaches are vastly different which is why the point of them being 13-0 without Kerr was brought up.

For all the love Green is getting it undersells what Thompson and Igoudala and a lesser extent Barnes are able to do for them. Paul was lighting up Curry so they switched Thompson onto him and then Igoudala is Igoudala. Not trying to slight Green who did a good job on preventing post-ops on Griffin but really they have 4 guys who are pretty good offensive players and are really good defenders.

See, this is where hate is misplaced. I don't hate Green for not being greedy. Instead, I wonder why none of our guys are the same way.........

For me, something to watch throughout the season is Iggy and Green shooting +40% from 3. That REALLY opens things up for them.

It's really amazing what they are doing. Playing the defense that is needed to slow down Golden state enough to win during a 7 game series, is going to be very tough.

didn't even realize he was playing that well

better 3P%, FT% and more assists than bron
just the facts ma'am

Blake griffin is the most awkward guy in the post I have ever seen for a guy who is pretty effective there. It is like he is incapable of a basic jump hook. He will toss up these weird shots off of one foot with his back to the basket, or just try and muscle up these shots through players.

The crazy thing is he often times gets these shots to go by some miracle, but not last night down the stretch.
