If Baylor can get through their brutal OOC schedule (SMU, Lamar, Rice) then they should be a shoe-in for the Big 12 title game.

Rumor I've heard is this is social media related....not sure how 4 experienced players end up suspended week 1 over Twitter and the like, but maybe things happened I'm unaware of...?

Weed and books.

I'm pretty confident this is not the first offense for Corey Smith or Wilson, so that would explain the suspension.

They announced the players, but only stated it was for a violation of athletic department policy. Schad is hearing it is for marijuana and academics, I had heard it was because of social media, at least for 2 of the receivers.

I think I trust Schad more, but I'm curious as to what the actual violations were.

Ya, Corey Smith came to Ohio State already with strikes against him as a Juco with past incidents. I believe Dontre was one of several guys to get dinged on a pot test in the past as well. I'm still curious on the academics part...we can't be talking about failed courses otherwise it's a longer suspension expanding over a semester. Is Meyer hitting star players with a 1 game suspension over skipped classes? That'd be pretty unprecedented for a big time program...

Meyer said Bosa did not take the news very well.

Don't know what that means exactly.

It means that he was upset with getting suspended.

:chuckle:

More along the lines of "he tried to fight it" because it wasn't a major infraction or a precedent for suspension.

Time for Braxton Miller, Michael Thomas, Jonnie Dixon, and Noah Brown to go to work.

Plus we have Ezekiel Elliott and a choice of two of the best quarterbacks in the country. Hubbard can hopefully step in for Bosa.

We'll be okay.

Don't forgot Curtis Samuel either. Also, I don't think we have a guy now who's fielded a punt on the collegiate level. Thank god this is only for one game.

I'm just glad we know now as opposed to a week before the game.

Urban has over a month to get these kids that are going to have to step up for this game ready. We'll be fine.

Get Braxton to practice that for one game until Jalin comes back
