I just thought of a genius idea. They should have a "Legends" section to All Star weekend. I would love to see something like this because I bet many of them can still ball and it would be awesome to see their competitive spirit get going again. I'm sure they would relish that opportunity. And it would be funny to see how bad many of them fell off. Another theme you might notice with my suggestions is that it is mostly people still affiliated with the league that you know have good personalities. Entertainment no matter what.
Have a 3 point shootout with all time great shooters like Reggie Miller, Steve Kerr, Larry Bird, Dell Curry, Mark Price, maybe throw in Kenny and Steve Smith. Maybe see what Craig Hodges and Dale Ellis are up to.
Have a skills challenge with John Stockton, Magic, Tim Hardaway, Penny, Mark Jackson, Isiah Thomas, Gary Payton etc. Maybe Mark Price and Doc Rivers. I think people like JKidd and AI are probably too young for it still.
Obviously no dunk contest, but maybe replace that with a new event.
Then of course an All Star game. MJ, Bird, Chuck, Hakeem, Shaq, Magic, Reggie, Stockton, Isiah, Kareem, Karl Malone, Ewing, Dr. J (bet he could still hoop), McHale, Drexler, C-Web etc.
