Bauer is really good at striking people out but always seems to be around 100 pitches by the 5th inning when he does it. It's huge that he had a couple of quick innings today and can last longer into the game while giving the bullpen a break after yesterday. Sure his stuff is nasty, but in order to become truly elite he will need to improve command so that he can last deeper in games. Good signs today...
