I'm trying to figure out how Lindors marginal edge in fielding somehow trumps that Correa has a shit ton more power. Power at SS remains still the biggest premium in the game, and Correa has provided that. Are Lindors sacrifice bunts that much of an equalizer?

Marginal edge in fielding? Lindor has 8 defensive runs saved, good for 5th among all SS...Correa has -1, good for 23rd...Lindor is 7th in UZR, Correa 28th...marginal? Frankie is a 1.3 dWAR player, Correa a 0.3 dWAR player...1 WAR is a huge difference when broke down to just offense or defense. The difference between their defensive skills and value is just as big as the difference between Correa's power and Lindor's power, maybe even bigger. People really undersell the value of high quality defense.

Do you even know what these stats mean bimbo?

Your debate tactics are horrible. Always adding ad hominems as if it were your job lol.

However, I do agree with you.

Yes, I do...that's why I use them.

And my tactics are better than responding with disagree's or old's like a passive aggressive bitch.

And thank you.

Jesus Christ. They're comparing Lindor to three Hall of Famers after half a season.

These guys can't help themselves.

He does look good. But rather than discuss how terrible guys like Santana, Bauer, and Stinky P are (because God forbid if someone doesn't worship these guys) they need to talk themselves up for a big 2016 season.

World Series champs!

They should be pretty good next year. I see no way they don't win at least 78 games.

Maybe I'd agree that those 3 were terrible if you could, you know, actually prove that they were indeed terrible, but you can't. Man, you really are the worst. Someone is either really good, or terrible to you, its pathetic. It's like you are incapable of giving people credit for any positives they give if you don't like them. I'm starting to side with b00bie on you being a troll...used to think it was just incompetence.

Ok....let me be serial for a second here.

Santana is not terrible. He is inconsistent and doesn't play as good as he should be playing. He's really not that great.

Bauer is not terrible. He's slightly above average right now and he's in a rough patch. He will never be a #1-2 guy.

Stinky P is terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Be serious all the time then. Your shtick is wearing really thin and isn't even remotely funny anymore, and hasn't been for the last few months. Isn't this obvious to you by all the grief you get nearly every time you post?

And I have a hard time calling a positive WAR player "terrible"...if you add more than an average replacement player, you aren't terrible. Jose is a 0.3 WAR player. Minuscule margin? Yes. Mediocre to average? Yes. Terrible? No. Terrible is what we have gotten from Nick Swisher, Mike Aviles, Brandon Moss, and Jerry Sands this year. -2.4 combined WAR in ~250 combined GP.

That's not how it works bimby. I'm not here to satisfy your wishes, bro.

You mean, all the COMPLAINTS I get from the 3 stooges? There is no shtick my friend. There is only you.

We'll agree to disagree. Stats are the only thing that speak to you - and that's fine. I use something a little more reliable and that would be my instinct and intuition. But, maybe I'll settle with that he's a terrible barely passible average player. That's as high as I'm willing to go.

No arguement there - although it would appear Sands has given us more as of late. He's terrible, though, too.

Yeah, it's only 3 people who are sick of your shit...keep telling that to yourself if it makes you feel better...

And stats aren't biased....this bolded right here is extremely biased. Sorry if I trust stats more than your opinion, which is clearly biased. Maybe combine the 2, and you will start getting a clearer picture on the value and impact of individual players. Until then, no one is going to take your "instinct and intuition" on merit.

And WAR is the quintessential stat for telling if someone is bad or not in the present day MLB...you can choose to ignore it all you want, and keep living in the 90s, but the entire baseball world is run by that stat right now. You can thank Miguel Cabrera and Mike Trout for that.
