Two of three would be pretty nice here. Despite their record, Detroit has been scuffling offensively lately. They've scored two runs or less in 7 of their last 9 games.

Wow....that's nuts. That means they are going to go ham on us.

Green and Simon are also due some major regression, if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing would be more Indians than getting their asses kicked at home with the whole city watching and then going into Detroit and taking the series from them when the city has moved on to the Cavs / NFL draft.

I get this feeling that if we take 2 we can turn around the season. Id have to imagine that these guys aren't free and easy right now, some are probably down, but a series win vs Detroit can change some things. You pointed out the 5-9 start before and the next series was the turnaround.

If we get swept like the 1st time then something is broke and needs a fixing. I really am hoping for 2 here.

Series outlook

0 wins/3 losses
Runs scored: Indians (1) Tigers (28)

Miguel Cabrera's series outlook:

Must win series.

Just taking 2/3 would go a long ways towards helping perception, but let's just pretend these 3 games mean nothing and if they lose all 3 there are no consequences.

Because, April. But really, who the fuck are these pitchers they are throwing at us? God I hate Detroit. No idea what to expect from Salazar but I do feel like this is when Bauer starts to unravel. Contemplating not starting him in fantasy for this outing.

So what you are implying is... In way more words... Must win series? Come on, you know you want to say it.:chuckle:

And why would Bauer have to come unraveled? Just curious. I see a guy still working on his biggest issue, control. The stuff is clearly there though. I think Salazar is more likely to get jumped by a veteran lineup.

I was kind of fucking around in my post.

If we're being serious, obviously this isn't a must win series. But they have a lot to gain from winning, or god forbid SWEEPING (!!!) the series. Won't happen, of course.

As for Bauer, he has been lights out but still has command issues. I think it was his last start that was actually really good command wise but going against the Tigers lineup is a whole 'nother beast. I'm rooting for him, both as an Indians fan and a fantasy owner (never would have drafted him; I took over my cousin's team, which was auto picked, but he has been a good addition so far). I'd like to see him dominate the Tigers. I absolutely agree Bauer's stuff is there, but you mention Salazar...the stuff is there for him, too. It's all about just being consistent command wise.

Walk Miggy everytime he comes up, regardless of the scenario.
