Man that last TD pass was sweet. He's going to be the 1st pick in the draft regardless of record. Either a really bad team will get the pick and draft him or someone will offer a huge trade package to get him.

And it won't be the Browns. But we'll have nick marshal.

A couple weren't his fault but that was the worst game I've seen from Goff. That one back foot pick was atrocious both in terms of the throw and the decision. He sailed so many throws this game that he normally hits; I wonder if he was amped up because of how big the game was. And his trash o-line getting him crushed all game certainly didn't help. I'd be curious to hear from him what it was that had him off.

The hot takes after this game are going to be ridiculous and plentiful but he's still the real deal. Just didn't have his best stuff tonight.

Cal hasn't been very good for a few years. I'm sure some draft sites will hold this against him. Cool. I really hope they do. Doesn't change his skillset.

Everyone has bad games. The devil is in the details. What are the circumstances; are they personal or systemic deficiencies?

I think this is an outlier. A big aberration. We'll see soon enough.

OL was bad and he had some dropped balls....he also played an awful game

He missed a couple wide open targets even when he had time. The only int that wasn't his fault was the first one that he threw. The 2nd and 3rd it looked like he was trying to do much. The 5th int was horrendous, you just can't make that throw. He was also terrible on 3rd down. I'm curious to see how he does the next couple weeks against UCLA and USC.

The kid obviously has a ton of talent. I've heard some Matt Ryan comparisons, I would be happy with that.

I know he isn't eligible this year, but has anyone had a chance to watch Kaaya down at Miami? I think he's a true sophomore. I was really impressed with what I saw from him last night

I doubt it, but I sure hope so. Anyone scared off by this game probably shouldn't be in position to make a draft selection in the first place.

Everyone has bad games. Derek Carr's game against USC was as bad as they come, and he is doing great so far in Oakland.

Huh? A single performance doesn't change his tools.

He got little help from his teammates last night and then compounded those issues by not playing well himself.

I'd be thrilled if a QB needy GM drops him down his board because of one game. Just means the Browns have a better chance at him.

It was a dud.....guys will have those. He still exhibits all the qualities you look for in an NFL QB. Those don't vanish based on one bad game.

What scares me is that the QB needy GM that will drop him down his board after a bad game will be ours.

The second part of the quote I'm in agreement. I hope we are in position to draft him and choose to do so.
