This is the same Kyrie who said he was impressed by the Celtics ball movement. lol If Kyrie keeps on chucking the Celtics fans will chase him out of town. He has no idea how bad it will get if he doesn't change his game.

The celtics knew exactly what they were getting when they made this trade, they have watched him torch them consistently more than many. To think he will all the sudden become a different player is preposterous.

As a Cavs fan watching him chuck sucked at times, but goodness was he something to behold other times. The good in his game definitely outweighed the bad-- but he is what he is. Right now he thinks he is a young Kobe and no coach or GM is going to change that.

Over in the celtic forum many are questioning kyrie already. Granted it's early but they're concerned if he's a real leader like he thinks he is. Also sounds like some are missing IT's type of game.

IT was 48 mins of pure effort and heart and was a great playmaker for them. He didn’t want to be one in the future...he WAS one.

Also he was uber effective off the ball. Look at Breakdowns I’d their offense. IT really didn’t eat off ISOs. Stevens called plays that had him off ball and he’d attack off angles and cuts. Kyrie is a great scorer he will eventually learn these plays and run them better than IT

But I 100% understand missing IT

Two games in...

“Irving and the Celtics look confused often on offense and at one point in the fourth quarter in Wednesday night's loss to Milwaukee, C's head coach Brad Stevens visibly showed his frustration with the flow of the offense when Irving was pounding the basketball. The typically calm coach violently threw himself into his seat on the bench, shaking his head.

After the game, Stevens told his players that they need to be more professional and that they need to "learn the plays."

Man, It was so emotional to watch Kyrie doing the handshakes with our boys. Brought back so many memories. Them feels! :(

Having said that, its good we got that game off as soon as possible so that we both could move on. Especially Kyrie imo. I hope Kyrie does well individually. As pissed as I was with the timing of his trade request, I will never be able to hate the kid or wish ill on him.

But, like others have said, this is going to be a big reality check for him. LeBron being such a fantastic leader and the most complete player to play the game ensured Kyrie played to his strengths without worrying about other aspects like leadership and playmaking. Last season, Kyrie had almost 1.5 more FGAs per game than LeBron did. If Kyrie played with his idol Kobe Bryant, that would have never happened. The Mamba Mentality is all well and good but in real life basketball, its pointless because teams win the Championships. Not "Mamba Mentality".

Like the saying goes, "You don't know what you've got, until its gone!". Same will happen with Kyrie. By the time he realizes that, it will be too late. Shame!

1) I really don't think they wanted to pay IT max dollars.

2) Crowder was somewhat expendable for them with Brown in the fold. They thought Brown was ready to assume Crowder's role and grow beyond that. And Brown looks legit this season.

3) They knew they weren't contenders in the next couple years with Cleveland and Golden State. So they pushed the can down the road with a higher upside PG/star in Irving and letting their younger core grow.

4) The Nets pick was a good steal for us though. But trading IT and Crowder made a decent amount of sense as they were more win now players wheres Kyrie, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Smart, Rozier is a core that will probably peak in about 2-3 years, a time when LeBron is well past his prime and GS is probably broken up in some form.

I do not see Kyrie evolving into a different kind of player. He is a me first, get my points player. Now that he has a championship on his resume I think there is even less reason for him to evolve
He is a great offensive player no doubt, best handles in the game, can take over games but he is not a true PG, cannot play defense...actually probably could, just has no desire. he is not a good locker room player and if things do not go well the next two seasons he will bolt

With Lin going down, that pick is huge. Crowder on the cheap for 3 years is great. I think Crowder is a guy that over the season will change the mindset of this team. This team while successful has been soft the last 3 years

Azic, who knows but he has real potential
IT, who knows....but if he is healthy by Feb he adds a whole new dimension

I hope Lue and our coaching staff will know how to use IT, instead of just throwing him out there to be an inferior version of Kyrie doing ISO.

Boston realgm fans comments on kyrie :lgh (20):

"WHY IS KYRIE JUST STANDING THERE AT THE THREE POINT LINE IN THE CORNER???"

"Kyrie is so un-involved I literally think he's on the bench.... and then I see him on the floor."

"Kyrie is SO SO bad at defense. 1000% worse than IT"

"Kyrie is **** killing us on both ends. This is bullsh*t." :banghead:

Boston will likely win though.
