2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know we just stocked up on receivers this draft, but a receiver prospect for next year that I like is Corey Davis at WMU. He did a number on the Michigan State secondary when they played in Kalamazoo last year and went over 100 yards most games. I don't know what he is projected for next year, but I think he is worth keeping an eye on. 205 pounds at 6'3, can go up to get the ball, and people underestimate how quick he can be for someone his size.

Updated with my defensive overview above.

How does this draft fair with kickers?

Give me Watson and another DL, preferable Myles Garrett.

I'd lay solid odds that you'll have to be #1 overall to get Watson.

If I had to pick out a handful of Top 10 locks, I'd go with:

DeShaun Watson - QB - Clemson
Cam Robinson - T - Alabama
Myles Garrett - EDGE - Texas A&M
Leonard Fournette - RB - LSU

Right on the cusp:

Roderick Johnson - T - FSU
Carl Lawson - EDGE - Auburn

Especially with how this draft went. I want to see Watson keep improving (and run less), but he sure looks the part of a star.

They return SO MUCH of that offense as well.

Mike Williams comes back healthy, he's still got Artavis Scott and Renfroe and McCloud at WR. Both TE's return, three offensive lineman, top three rushers.

They're going to have to outscore a lot of teams given the hits they'll take on defense. But that offense is flat loaded, it would be an enormous concern if he doesn't show improvement.

I'll cross my fingers that Hue can work a miracle with Griffin III, but if he can't it certainly appears the Browns are in the prime position for DeShaun Watson.

Either with their own pick or with the draft capital they've acquired.

We're in agreement that he's the No. 1 QB prospect right now?

Wow, that is alot of SEC talent. Impressive.

Right now, but he could easily fall off

Vegas odds for the Super Bowl this year are

Titans 100/1
49ers 100/1
Browns 100/1
Bucs 75/1
Chargers 66/1

I would agree that these teams have the best chance at #1 pick. 2 of them would pass on a QB/allow us to trade up for one, 1 would definitely take a QB, and 1 is up in the air.

Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

The Browns could possibly land Watson and Fournette next year. That's crazy to think. The Browns have never had me so optimistic.

This year is most likely going to be a difficult struggle unless Hue is a legit QB miracle worker.

But if the Browns end up with two elite building block type prospects out of the deal, then so be it.
