I just got done playing around with the mock draft tool. Here's what happened:
17. TJ Hockenson, TE, Iowa- It was between him, Devin White, or Byron Murphy. I would be pleased with any of those guys, but I opted to give Baker another weapon. Boobie, nice job hyping him up.
49. Dexter Lawrence, IDL, Clemson- At 6'4", 340 lbs, he plugs right into the starting Nose Tackle position. Passed on Yodny Cajuste OT and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson S to snatch him up here.
80. Bobby Evans, OT, Oklahoma- I took the best offensive lineman I could find here. I like the fact he has already blocked for Baker. Will be good competition for Greg Robinson in camp. Passed on Taylor Rapp S and Andy Isabella WR here.
97. Daylon Mack, IDL, Texas A&M- Got a little repetitive here, but he seemed like the best prospect available; a twitchy- 320 lbs- NT. Yes, more of that please. He's lightning fast to the backfield.
116. Michael Jackson, CB, Miami- Seemed like a safe choice at this point, a 6'1", 200 lbs, cornerback with good hands. Plays with swagger, will fit right into our defense.
138. Jalen Jelks, EDGE, Oregon- Long, speedy, and a good tackler. Glad I was able to snag him here. Will need to get stronger to shed NFL blocks, but he is great at wrapping guys up, and he's never out of a play with his speed.
149. Tyree St. Louis, OT, Miami- Looks the part at 6'5", 305 lbs. If nothing else, he's good depth this late in the draft. Quick feet, good head on his shoulders.
164. Parris Campbell, WR, OSU- First homer pick, but he's one of the fastest WR's in the entire class and I'm interested to see how he would look paired with Baker. He sat near the top of the draft board for three consecutive picks, so I finally pulled the trigger.
181. Lil' Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas- Lil' Jordan ain't so little at 6'4", 220 lbs. He was Texas's leading receiver last season, and seemed like a worthwhile shot in the dark this late. Former running back, with a killer spin move. Will need to get better at creating separation at the next level.
205. Jordan Brailford, EDGE, Oklahoma St- I only chose him because he kind of looks like Myles Garrett and plays on the edge. Have him wear #59, and sub him in for Garrett once or twice a game, just enough to make the offense fear he's still out there and give Garrett a useful breather.
