Duke did this last year, too. Exact same way.

Everyone thought it had to do with his contract situation.

He clarified that it was simply something he does to raise awareness or something about “more than athlete” I believe.

While I wouldn’t be against trading Duke Johnson in a deal we win, we did not just extend him to trade him. Chubb and Hunt (if he makes the roster) are on rookie/cheap deals. We can afford to pay a weapon like Duke right now even if he’s criminally under-used.

So no, you don’t ship him off for a 4th or 5th. His skill-set, to me, requires a 3rd to move him. Anything less and he’s worth keeping—we can afford to keep him.
 
Would also be kind of weird to trade Duke before Hunt's suspension is given out. He might miss half the season.
 
Whatever hunt gets he will likely appeal. Not sure what the chances are on it being reduced after appeal.

Absolutely not. He better not appeal.

Not when you have video and you’re trying to move past it. That makes you look even more like a horrendous person. I’m sure his PR team and the Browns will have him quietly accept whatever the league decides and move on quickly to the next steps.
 
Zeke got what 6 games? I think that would be the min. If I was guessing the max would seem to be 8. If I was betting I would take the 8.

He had 2 other fighting incidences from last year. It’s not just the video incidence. His suspension will be more than 8

I think the fact that it was due more to a drinking problem than anything else (it clearly wasn't domestic violence) will factor in. I think he gets eight games.
 
The Commissioner barred Hunt from playing or even practicing with his team when that video came out, and he was subsequently released. He missed the last 5 games. I think he's got a pretty decent argument that he effectively was already suspended for 5 games, due in part to the Commissioner's action. Putting 8 on top of that really seems excessive to me. If I'm representing him, that's the argument I'd push. Maybe go for a 10 game suspension, and give him credit for the 5 games for which he was "suspended" last year.
