So with the 2019 season well under way and the 2020 early signing period set to go off in mid-December, I thought I would review where the Buckeyes stand right now with their 2020 recruitment. Ryan Watts de-committed from Oklahoma yesterday.

He'll be committing to the Bucks, most likely.

4-star guy. Hard to blame him, pretty strong pipeline coming...

Buckeyes had a bunch of recruits in town over the weekend for the Sparty game. A few of the key uncommitted players were:

- C.J. Stroud, 4* QB out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA
- Kevontre Bradford, 4* RB out of Lancaster, TX
- Tyler Baron, 4* DE out of Knoxville, TN

Note regarding Stroud... he has the same personal QB coach that Justin Fields and Dwayne Haskins had, so that could bode well for our chances to get him.

Note on Bradford... it's probably between us and Wisconsin with LSU as a dark horse.

Note on Baron... his dad works in Player Personnel at Tennessee and currently they are believed to be the leader to sign the kid, although Ohio State and Kentucky remain in the mix. His decision might be affected by how Tennessee's coaching staff situation plays out following what looks to be another shitty year for that program. Also, Larry Johnson is recruiting this kid for us so that's a huge plus for trying to sway him toward the Scarlet and Gray.

Edited the OP to add 4* DB Ryan Watts. Finally committed earlier today.

I'm hearing Kevontre Bradford may be out of the mix (mutual decision).

Class of 21, but Marvin Harrison Jr just committed. Yes, he's the son of Marvin Harrison.

Harrison Srs off the field issues notwithstanding, he was one of my favorite non-Browns of all time. Clinical route runner.

Updated the OP to add 3* RB Miyan Williams out of Cincinnati. He flipped just before Thanksgiving from an earlier commit to Iowa State.

Merry Recruitmas!

Early Signing Period began today and OSU has received in 21 letters of intent thus far out of their current 25 commitments. Kourt Williams and Gee Scott should have theirs in around 10 a.m. EST, as they are West Coast prospects.

Questions still remain on Clark Phillips and Cameron Martinez. Phillips visited Utah this past weekend for an official and will be deciding between OSU and the Utes. He had a very close relationship with Hafley and that departure has made Phillips rethink things. Regardless of his decision, he will not sign a LOI until tomorrow. Martinez remains committed but will not sign his LOI until the February signing period. He wants to wait and see who OSU hires to coach the secondary. Could be some competition from Northwestern as they are supposedly promising the opportunity to play both offense and defense.

Also, CJ Stroud, a high four star QB, will be committing around 12:30 p.m EST. All signs point to the Buckeyes on this one.

I have a feeling that Phillips will be switching to Utah. I think we'll keep Martinez.

Any scuttlebutt on transfers...either to OSU, or outbound, or is it too early yet?
