2020 CFP Sugar Bowl | #3 Ohio State vs. #2 Clemson | January 1st, 2021 @ 8 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What, precisely, are you wanting to see? 50 TDs to no INTs? This is one of the best QB classes in a really long time.

I feel it's right there with the Manning, Rivers, Roethlisberger class. There should be 3 guys who make multiple pro-bowls in this class, at least.

The latter part of this is pure hyperbole, but that’s going to be dependent on where they land and the systems.

I’m not sure what you’ve seen from any of these three prospects to certify their NFL greatness. Fields and Wilson specifically, have shown some pretty glaring weaknesses under duress.

Love Megatron, but Jerry Rice, dude

I said arguably and I'm never going to discount Rice. But I think it's one of NFL's sickest jokes that these two ended up with Detroit. Both were loyal and never asked for a trade and I think that cost them frankly in the record books and a chance to win the SB. Take a look at the list of QBs both Sanders and Megatron played with:
Gagliano
Peete
Krieg
Mitchell
Batch
Orlovsky
hill
Stafford

Stafford would have been the only who could be considered a decent QB making one Pro Bowl but he was hurt so much. In comparison Rice played with great coaches and QBs (or QBs have MVP caliber years) - Montana, Young, Gannon

I know but literally yesterday Schefter said he thinks he's gonna be the 2nd QB and then there were multiple mocks over the last two days that not only have him as the 2nd QB, but the 2nd pick overall.

CBS, bleacherreport to name a couple.

Again, maybe that happens but I just find it crazy. He's gonna look like a world-beater in workouts. He will show he has the best arm in the class but.....he had one great year against really poor competition.

EDIT: And along that note, I've looked at 4 mock drafts completed over the last three days and I didn't see Shaun Wade mocked in the 1st round in any of them. He may end up coming back.
As a Lions fan I'm all for Fields being the 3rd QB off the board. May just fall in our laps.

Last night definitely belongs on this list
I would be very interested to see your writeup and where you rank it.

You have examples of the perfect NFL QB prospect with no weaknesses at all coming out of college?

Kerry Collins made multiple pro bowls. Derek Anderson made a pro bowl. Kordell Stewart made a couple of pro bowls. Vince Young made two.

So, yea, I expect all three of these guys to manage to string together at least a couple of pro bowl seasons.

Whether they become truly great, all-timers, is left to be seen. Though I have very little doubt about Lawrence being an elite level QB For many years.

First blush is probably #4

Man it's probably because I was a kid and watching with my dad so it meant more, but I feel like my first three or four all come from the 2002 team.

The wins over Michigan and Purdue and Miami at least the top 3. And 4 might be the year prior and the win over Michigan. After all of those years of being beaten by them, getting those two in a row felt like a changing of the guard. And it was!

The 2002 game at UC was quite entertaining. I think UC had a few shots at the end there to steal that game.

You compared them to three guys who are first ballot NFL Hall of Farmers.

But sure, throw me a strawman about not having weaknesses.

I talked about this in @col63onel 's thread, but have you ever rewatched that Purdue game? In full? Because, it...wasn't a very great game to watch :chuckle:

Holy Buckeye is definitely my #1 moment, so it propels that game up for sure. But the overall game itself? Meh.

Oh God. Yeah, I was at that game. Incredibly nerve wracking. OSU had some critical mistakes in that game and Cincy did have multiple chances to win at the end. That game was scary. A sign of things to come for the rest of that season, for sure...

1969 Rose Bowl solidified me as a Buckeye fan for life. Rex Kern, Jim Otis, Jack Tatum, etc. vs O.J.

Yeah, I'm old.
