Chandler Vaudrin, played for Coach McBride over at Lake HS in the Federal League. They run a highly disciplined offensive and defensive system.
He signed onto to Walsh University (D2) to play for Coach Young, and averaged a near triple-double there despite being basically the only guy on the roster who wasn’t a lights out shooter. Walsh really gets up and down.
He eventually tested the D1 waters and signed on at Winthrop for his final two years of eligibility (although he could have gotten one more due to COVID, I believe). After sitting a year due to the transfer rules at the time, he made an immediate impact, eventually becoming their best player and leading them to an undefeated record deep into the 2020-21 season along with a NCAA tournament appearance.
TL;DR, he’s a local kid with point-forward skills that lacks a jumper.
