Enjoy 500, I’m aiming for 700. I don’t care what sour tastes it leaves.

You can disagree and that’s fine but I’m not feeling a bridge that puts the Browns at 7-10 for the illusion of contention instead of 4-13 and a legit shot at a nice QB class next year.

I understand what you're saying and I'm not even disagreeing that in the long term 4 wins would be better than 7 wins next year.

I'm just saying the Browns OL, running game and defense are good enough to where there's basically no chance they will possibly go 4-13 next year unless they started selling off veteran pieces right now which they're not going to do.

The Browns win the division last year with average quarterback play..

A lateral on-field move may be coming (i.e. Jimmy G or Mariota) but two things are obvious: This is just as much about off-field differences as it is on-field performance, and the Browns are willing to forgo the highs and lows of Baker's play for more consistent, stable play..

And in the case of Jimmy G, looking better while doing it. All those female browns fans that were upset with the browns the past 48 hours are now back in the fold!

Glad I don’t have to cancel my season tickets

If we don't land Watson, we should just ride this year out with Baker. Any other option isn't going to move the needle enough to matter anyway. If we see someone we like in the draft we take a chance, if not we can look into a guy next year when there will be better draft options on the board. If Mayfield somehow gets it together (doubtful) all of this worrying will be pointless.
Gutsy comment.
There it is... and here it comes...

If Baker is so fragile and inconsolable that he couldn't possibly take another snap for Cleveland, I'm curious what in his mind makes him feel entitled to that demand?

He hasn't earned shit in this league, and he'll be lucky if he isn't scrounging around for a Mitch Trubisky level contract in 2023.
Baker in no way, shape or form ever said he couldn't take another snap for Cleveland.

The roster is too good 2-53 to straight up tank a season.

They won 8 times last year with bottom 5 QB play. I'm hard pressed to see a scenario where they get worse QB play than they got this past year.
