2023-24 Season | Game #55 | Cavs @ 76ers | Feb. 23, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Since 2022, the NBA has continually fined teams $25,000 and up for violating injury reporting policies
What exactly are those policies? I assume the Cavs are following the letter of the law.

Looking at an 0-2 start to the 2nd half with no Mitchell again.

Mostly falls on Garland if they lose this one again.
We lost the last game because of 18 turnovers. Garland didn't commit all of those.

I expect a huge game from LeVert. He was embarrassed last night and now is when he is the most dangerous.

He needs to jack up at least 20 midrange jumpers if we're going to have a chance.

I’ve never seen them spelled out or in written form but they are definitely in place
Congratulations! You provoked me to look them up:

In the NBA, injury reporting policies are designed to ensure transparency and provide information about player availability for games. Here are the key points regarding injury reporting:

  1. Reporting Time:
    • NBA teams must submit injury reports by 5 p.m. local time on the day before a game (except for the second day of a back-to-back).
    • For the second game of a back-to-back, teams must report this information by 1 p.m. local time on the day of the game.
  2. Designation and Specifics:
    • Teams must designate a participation status for each player.
    • They must also identify a specific injury, illness, or potential instance of a healthy player resting for any player whose participation in the game may be affected by such factors.
  3. Updates:
    • Injury reports are continuously updated throughout the day to reflect any changes in player availability.
For example, if a player is not listed on the injury report, it generally means they are available to play, barring any unforeseen circumstances12.
These policies help fans, bettors, and fantasy basketball enthusiasts stay informed about player health and make informed decisions.

As far as I can tell, the Cavs have followed these rules.

Lmfao, SAS saying Cavs will get dominated regardless and Spida is coming to the orange and blue skies.

Let me guess Buddy Heild will shoot lights out… again

I really have no confidence in winning this one without Mitchell. I attended the game last Monday against the 76ers, the one where we narrowly lost with Mitchell playing, and I can't imagine how this game will go better for us, especially on the road.

Only 4 to go with 10 assists.

Seriously though, if someone is pre-blaming Garland for a loss that hasn't occurred yet, maybe that fan isn't completely objective.

My glimmer of hope is that he 76ers made a lot of tough shots and won’t repeat that tonight. Fingers crossed.

Unfortunately Orlando already did this first game out of the all star break.
