I always like to play around on these things early on in the draft process. In the past, First-Pick was a fun one, but it looks like that's gone. Fanspeak has most of their features behind a paywall now. Decided to play around on Pro Football Network

My first one came away with this after trading back repeatedly to accumulate more picks:

CLE 65. Jalin Hyatt WR Tennessee
CLE 73. Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
CLE 96. Lukas Van Ness EDGE Iowa
CLE 108. Tyler Steen OT Alabama
CLE 135. Cody Mauch OT North Dakota State
CLE 137. Joe Tippmann OC Wisconsin
CLE 139. Jammie Robinson S Florida State
CLE 190. DJ Turner CB Michigan
CLE 207. Andrei Iosivas WR Princeton
CLE 215. Spencer Rattler QB South Carolina

I could've taken a linebacker (Drew Sanders) at 73, but the value with Mayer was too stupid to pass up. I never got around to drafting a linebacker the rest of the process--it just didn't work out.

There also never was a 1-tech that I wanted. Plenty of 3-techs like Tuli Tuipulotu that I think could've been nice, but with Winfrey already in the mix and Van Ness drafted, I chose to address other needs.

Took nearly every room. QB, WR, TE, Tackle, Guard, Center, DE, CB and S. Only missed LB, RB, DT.

My favorite one is Draft Network, but it doesn’t look they’ve booted it for 2023 yet.

This TE and center class is something else.

Any centers that stand out to you?

I've really only started a cursory look at guys. The only centers I've looked at are the three B1G guys (Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin).

I think Wypler and Tippmann would be the two that fit our ZBS the best... but after seeing what we did with Pocic this year, not asking our center to really be the traditional mobile guy, and instead letting our guards and tackles pull and move, I wonder if it matters at all.

The age guardrails suck for Centers.

I love Oluwatimi. I think he mauls. I really like all of the Big10 guys, actually.

I liked Patterson from ND, but he moved to guard, and I think he prob ends up staying there? If we plan on going to a more… vertical attack scheme, I do think he ends up having a fighters chance on being a passable center? I think he’s depth as a center, and you can hide him more at Guard.

I like Alex Forsyth probably way more than I should. I think he’s additional technique away from being a lot higher in draft boards.

Andrew Haym prob goes between our 2/3. I think I like him? I’m sort of waiting to see if he Zach Tom’s (who should have been a Brown on metrics alone) with his mobility. If he does, he’s going to push up. Forsyth has an outside chance in Tom’ing it.

I realize this news completely blows up your mock, but Rattler is going back to SC.

I have to say this about Luke Musgrave. If he didn’t get hurt, he probably goes round 2 with a full year of tape. As a receiver, fine. Athletic enough, and in space, physical. But uh… nasty blocker. Overwhelming willingness to block. This was supposed to be his year.

He's no Jim Dray.

Musgrave went first round in Brugler’s new mock, and I was shocked. Absolutely shocked. Very sad.

Devon Witherspoon might be the first CB taken in the draft. I got him at 96.

These mock drafts are fun to play around with early in the process.

Mayer, Washington and Musgrave should be three nice tight ends.

I asked about Ika last week. Nice to see I wasnt completely off-base.

Haven't done one of these in a while. I'd be very happy with something like this:

I'm a little disappointed that Byron Young (DT, Alabama) was off the board before pick 111. I prefer him over Kobie Turner--but Turner has some penetrating 3-tech ability that Young lacks. (Forgive that bullshit trade-up from 128 to 140 for Curtis Weaver)

Some priority UDFA's that either weren't drafted or aren't yet listed in the PFF database:

Jerron Cage, DT Ohio State
Jordan Mims, RB Fresno State
Noah Gindorff, TE North Dakota State
