2024 Guardians Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
More info …. And I was somewhat chastised for my wait and see comments a while back … as there was no reason for concerns w our staff
Hope it’s nothing

Wait, do fans in Cleveland actually think this way?

Because that is not what anyone else thinks of Tito. If you wanted to criticize him for sticking with his vets, go for it--but I find it laughable if you think it had to do with how much they were being paid.
That's how I saw it. Probably not too many others do. I listed 5 examples of him doing that. There are others. How else do you explain the wretched Myles Straw playing in 135 games last season?

Throwing baseballs may not be so popular anymore. Especially the pitch clock dictating your time between reps.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, should be surprised by this news.

I, too, was chastised...loudly...when stating, among other things, that the earliest that we would see Williams would be May....even told that he would show up for our first home stand.

Different joint, but same story, as Espino. Hopefully it won't be AS bad...

When a pitcher suffers a 'minor' arm injury, the org will give regular updates, if everything is okay. But when there are no updates, except a general reference to being extra cautious, say goodbye.

IF we (he) is lucky, we might see him in July.

In any case, our Big Four pitching prospects...Espino, Williams, Allen, and Bibee...that nobody would even consider trading two/three years ago, are now down to two.

A perpetual pipeline that needs to keep flowing. Seems like we have the talent evaluators and support staff to keep it going, but certainly does suck to have some of the guys who we already now can succeed at the MLB level derailed.

I think by June/July we’ll have more answers as to what ammunition we have based both on things that are happening with some of our younger OF and MIF at the major league and AA/AAA level
If we make the playoffs, which kinda looks that way, I want a healthy FOR arm that's looking for a payday to lead us in our big games.

The pipeline has slowed down to a trickle ever since the big 3 came up. There's really nobody, outside of maybe Messick, to get excited about that we can expect to see in the next 2-3 years.

Hope for the best but these scenarios seem to soon end up with TJ surgery.
