To Cleveland: David Lee & Jared Jeffries
To New York: Jamaal Tinsley, Shawne Williams & Billy Thomas
To Indiana: Eric Snow & Lance Allred

Gives the Cavs the PF they need to replace Joe Smith on the bench, but they have to take on a bad contract in Jeffries.

Gives the Knicks another PG to add to the mix in Tinsley, as well as a young SF/PF tweener in Williams. Tinsley/Robinson/Duhon looks better than Robinson/Duhon/Marbury at PG.

Gives the Pacers cap space and finally rid themselves of Tinsley and his deal.

hmm...you balance the trade fairly by having the cavs take on the albatross contract of jared jeffries. the pacers definitely do this trade BUT the knicks wouldn't - they supposedly may keep stephon marbury and they just paid duhon. plus the benefit losing the albatross contract of jeffries is negated by taking on tinsley's long-term contract. they're not dumping lee for a downgrade in talent unless it signficantly improves their cap situation, where this trade does not.

We would probably have a better chance of doing this by just cutting out Indiana and sending Snow and Alredd to New York for Jefferies and Lee. I checked and it worked out money wise, and might work for the Knicks since we are taking Jefferies off their hands, who could be good depth for us, but is paid way to much.

I really like Lee, but Im not completely sold on this for the Cavs, I don't like Jefferies contract that lasts 3 years still.

No way in the world that New York would do this! Donnie Walsh just came from Indiana, and he knows how bad Williams and Tinsley are OFF the court, let-alone on it.

Cavs and Pacers would jump at this trade in a milli-second.
