works for the cavs, maybe even indiana, but what does miami get out of it besides a really bad pg who is way over paid, plus they loose a valuable player for nothing imo.

The financial aspect of a deal like this...

Eric Snow - 1 year 7.3M remaining
Udonis Haslem - 2 years, 13.6 remaining
Jamaal Tinsley - 3 years, 21.4 remaining

Not sure how Miami would feel about tacking on another 7M in salary for Tinsley. Although when Tinsley is healthy, he's a better PG then anyone currently on their roster.

Weird, when people started talking about replacements for Joe Smith, Haslem seemed like the best and most realistic option to replace him with.

He knows his role. He can hit 15 footers. And he's not a liability to have on the court.

He would be great for our frontcourt depth. Especially if we will have trouble hanging on to AV down the line.

I'm glad Miami drafted Beasley.

ya me too it allows haslem to be way more expendable to them and opoens a huge window for us!

thats how feel about with miami....but miami seems pretty desperate for a PG and a while back there was a rumour that said they were interested in tinsley.

halslem doesnt really have much to do there now that they drafted beasly.

My guess is if we were to try and trade with miami that they would demand west.

Not that far fetched if Miami got something else from either team.

The only way Tinsley will be part of the Heat squad is if hes bought out. Now that teams around the league know if theres no interest he will be bought out .. they'll just wait. In my opionion, putting information out like Marbury will be bought out, Tinsley etc is stupid because then you lose any and all interest.

I think the Cavs need to find a way to get Haslem because he can score, rebound, and can play great defense. He would be a perfect fit for our team. Go for him Ferry!!!:)

Yes... but is he faster than a speeding bullet?

I'd love to get Halsem, however this trade wouldn't get it done on the Miami end, maybe even the Pacers end as well depending on their situation. We could probably make a trade ourselves with Miami that includes West if we can get him signed.

exactly

I would be all for it. Indiana would be for it. I don't know so much about Miami. Doubt they would care for taking on Tinsley's contract. Probably would have to throw a pick towards Miami to even give this a chance.

But like Chich292 said, Tinsley's trade value is low now since most of the league knows he will be eventually bought out. The only way he is likely to be in a trade is if someone wants something off Indiana bad enough that they are willing to take his contract on and then and Indiana is desperate enough to dump his deal. Doubt that will happen either.

One thing I don't get... why are we always talking about trading Snow when he's going to retire? Not to metnion several people have talked about him being a good coach. He reitres, his contract comes off the books, he stays around to coach. Seems like a good thing for us rather than dealing him.

I don't think either Miami or Indiana would do it, the Pacers trade Jamaal Tinsley for Eric Snow who is a salary eater and an injury prone player, while a team leader on the bench.

Miami is getting Tinsley for Haslem who averaged:

11.9-8.4-3.6.

Haslem averaged

12.4-9.0 Rbds

I think Haslem is the key to this trade, he is a great rebounder but I doubt Miami will give him up for Tinsley.
