A closer look at Bradley Beal

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hmmmm... I didn't realize his two older brothers were college football players.

Siblings bring out the best in Florida Gators' Bradley Beal- College Basketball - ESPN

Anyone with two big rough and tumble big brothers is going to have a certain toughness about him.

Anyone who averages 6.7 rebs as a freshman guard is going to have a certain toughness about him. That tells me more than who his brothers are. That said, don't think we should trade up to get him.

I like the idea of having two elite three-point shooters to go with two elite offensive rebounders in Varejao and Thompson.

Should add up to plenty of second-chance opportunities.

I'm all in for Beal now... if he can eventually reach his potential as a shooter we have the best shooting backcourt in the league and both in their early 20's...plus he can rebound also and play solid D

Yeah, and our frontcourt would be one of the weakest in the league. I would absolutely love to get Beal but still address SF or C.

People need to realize that we are not going to get our SG SF and C of the future in one draft

But we could fill two positions or get a good backup player.

For a team that literally has TWO long term "keepers" on it, come the fuck on. We need as big of an influx of talent as possible at every position. Even backup PG would be nice.

I can't wait until Thursday. I plan on hopping up and down. I'm just completely sold on this kid. So sold, that I'm beginning to wonder if I will regret all of this.

But then I look at his skillset, gait, and potential...and I'm like there's no way.

Don't be upset when he gets picked by the Wizards. I want Beal over everyone else but I'm not expecting him to land on the Cavs.

The suspense is palpable. I have faith that things will work out.

Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports that the Oklahoma City Thunder may not be satisfied with the 28th pick in tomorrow’s NBA Draft. Apparently Thunder GM Sam Presti told Bradley Beal, who is widely regarded as a top three pick, that they have a great deal of interest in him and may make a move to acquire a pick high enough to draft him. Is James Harden on the move? The draft gets more interesting the closer it gets.

Fuck that. Beal's my dude. If it ends up being a bidding war, and the cost is too high, then forget about it. Otherwise, we should trade 4 and either 24 or one/both of the 2nds for 2.

Supposedly San Antonio is also really interested in moving up for Beal.

I mean, when the two best front offices in the league are trying to move up to get a guy.....that's kinda says a lot about the player.

I see Beal as one of the highest character guys in the draft, too. Barnes is number two on my list as a basketball player, and he "seems" high character, but I don't feel as comfortable with believing that as I do with Beal. You know, is Barnes a big-market, money-mongering attention whore? Or will he be satisfied in Cleveland? I'm not positive about Barnes, but I have a much, much better feeling about Beal. He just seems too genuine.

Why do people talk like having "only" two long term keepers is a bad thing? there are teams in the league that have none. Lots of teams only have 4 or 5 keeper guys and the rest are fillers.

Because it is?
