That sucks that he is going back.

In terms of him improving his overall game, i think it is the correct choice. In terms of hurting us, i hate his decision however! I'm still confident we'll get two players who will help us for years to come, despite the negativity in the draft about the talent. The Euro's are looking like some of the best guys to pick after the big two!

The problem is that with both Barnes and Jones out, the Euros may not be around when it's time for us to use our second pick.

I was hoping for either Irving or Williams, and then possibly grabbing one of the two centers with our second pick. But that's looking pretty unlikely now.

We finally get 3 high lotto picks and these kids want to be good students and get their education. WTF is wrong with these people? Smh.

This currently blows man. Figures, we have 2 high lottery picks and everybody is going back to school!!! This sucks. Now we have to get one of the top 2 picks so we can get either Williams or Irving. I have no idea who we would draft with the 3rd pick if we didn't get in the top 2. Would you take Kanter with #3 and Knight with #8 if he is still there? Did Knight officially declare forthe draft or has he not made a decision yet?

If Terrence Jones and/or Brandon Knight go back to school then we are officially fucked. Plain and simple.

I really liked Barnes. I thought he came on at the end of the year and will be one of the more soild players in this draft. I also like Kanter alot plus the obvious Irving. Kanter dominated Sully at the international game and I think Sully will be a solid pro (not superstar, but solid for sure)

I just hope Kyrie Irving doesn't start to have second thoughts but I doubt it because I think some Duke fans were talking junk to him for leaving after a year.

Frankly I'm glad we won't be drafting him.
On the other hand I felt the same way about Sullinger and losing them plus Jones makes it less likely players I would want are going to be available depending on how the lottery falls out.

Overall, this makes the lottery balls extremely important. They are always going to make a difference but this year if the pick isn't in the top 5 you are really going to be reaching. If we get lucky and get two very high picks (i.e. both in top 5): I'd rather not have drafted Sullinger or Barnes this years in any case and it won't make much of difference.

This is becoming laughable....I mean, if the Cavaliers didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all. In the year the Cavaliers not only return to the draft lottery, but they hold TWO picks in the top 8, almost every top prospect is choosing to return to school. It's like holding a winning lottery ticket only to find out that there were 500 other winners as well...

Oh well, what can you do?

Unfortunately, these picks are worth nothing more than a mid 1st round pick in any other year. We're going to have to take some calculated risks with one or both of these picks. That may mean taking an unfinished prospect(s), like Biyombo or Valanciunas.

How do we continue to get fucked like this? Since when is it the cool thing to do for these guys to stay in school? WTF

That's a relatively ridiculous statement. Especially since we all should know from experience that judging a draft based off of current perception has consistently failed to be an accurate depiction of the true quality of a draft.

Our own pick is still going to be a quality pick and the Clippers pick was always going to be a toss-up. The key to this draft will be the Cavaliers' lottery luck in getting one of the top two picks. The two prizes from this draft are Irving and Williams, if we come away with either one, I think we can call it a successful draft.

I know the lockout is more likely a factor, but it's almost like these guys are trying to avoid playing for the Cavs. Of course, Utah, which holds 2 lottery picks as well, could be saying the same thing.

One good thing is the next 2 drafts are likely to be insanely strong and the Cavaliers are almost certain to be in those lotteries as well. It remains to be seen if the NBA raises the underclassmen limit to 2 years in school from 1. That could have an impact on the 2012 draft, which is slated to be off the hook.
