Addressing the hole at center

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like Wright but he is a bit undersized (210lbs; injury prone) I feel like we should get something else from BOS for that pick alongside Wright.

The pick is going to be in the 20's. If you can get Wright for that you do it yesterday.

It's not like we're trading a top 5 pick for him. Don't over value draft picks.

There are all sorts of salaries you can match up with for Haywood in the summer:

Hibbert
McGee or Sanders but I would stay away from those two.
Lopez(if you throw JR into the deal)
Pekovic(not really the type of presence we're looking for)
Bogut(W's have to pay Klay and Draymond)

Cousins - But that would be a whole different ballgame. You'd need Boogie to implode in Sac and you'd still probably need to do a deal centered around Kyrie for Boogie or Love for Boogie. And there are a ton of reasons that either of those scenarios are highly unlikely. Haywood deal + TT + multiple picks just wouldn't get it done in any world.

Another possibility would be to get multiple, lesser paid guys for Haywood and picks. Especially if we somehow get Mozgov this year.

I would TOTALLY do Love for Boogie. I've fallen out of love with Love. Would it take an S & T?

Celtics fans seem to be OK with Wright for the OKC pick. Gets us a big while keeping the Memphis pick.

I'm sure I would be fine with getting a 1st round pick for someone who probably isn't worth one too. :chuckle:

Wright is an undersized PF/C who has never played more than 18 minutes a game in his career.

Do I like him? Yeah but he'd be more of a backup plan for me. He's undersized, a bit injury prone and would be asked to log heavy minutes for the first time in his career. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Mozgov would be ideal...given his age, more prototypical size and a track record with logging higher minutes.

I'd much rather overpay for Mozgov than pay market or less than market for Wright. We're pretty much going to lock in our roster with this next move, so we have to be incredibly sure the trade makes us better today and moving forward.

Wright would be awesome as the 4th big next to a C or if AV was still healthy
Losing the DPE in the Dion trade makes it unlikely for us to trade for him IMO. He just doesn't have the bulk ot play C. It's really Mozgov/Koufous or bust right now

not to mention that with Wright they would add another guy who's gonna be a free-agent after the season and looking to get paid. TT/Love/Shumpert, that's already a large group they have to take care of. (on a side note Koufos will be a free-agent after the season as well unfortunately)

You just have to ask yourself how many assets you want to put into this season.

Wright is a rental. And isn't a huge difference maker. There might be an advantage to keeping an extra first to package with Haywood.

I'd like to see some other big flaws start to correct themselves before I start throwing more picks at someone like Wright.

Mozgov would be a different story.

Cavs have to be careful..honestly at this point I'd rather have them get several bigs who can rotate and get the job done.
We have no depth at center nor can we shuffle in a frontcourt rotation at all.

mozgov because he has a team option at under $5MM is better option than Koufus who can walk at the end of the year. As a result Koufus probably costs the OKC pick, Mozgov the Mem pick.

Cleveland remaining in pursuit of center Timofy Mozgov, but Denver still reluctant to deal him, league sources tell Yahoo.

Get Dalembert now. This team only has Love and Tristan in front court right now. Not even Kirk or Amundson.

The OKC pick is a better pick.

Most GM's would rather have a pick they can make in 2015 immediately than in 2017 when they might not be there.

I'd agree. No doubt I'd prefer Mozgov/Koufos over Wright. I know Denver is still reluctant on a deal, and I haven't heard much on what Denver might want for Mozgov.

Is this Mozgov guy pretty good? I really know nothing about him. Is he a scorer or a defensive player only?
