LeBron had 43 points in 30 minutes on 21 shots. He wasn't quite at his CLE-MIL game level where he dropped 55, but it was pretty impressive from what I watched. What was different about this game is LeBron hardly forced anything and wasn't bringing the ball up the court, it was actually mostly in set offenses.

Wade was pretty much on fire too in the third quarter. If LeBron and Wade go 8/11 from three, not many teams have a chance to beat the Heat.

Great job by the queen stepping up his game. The pressure of a divisional game this late in the regular season is unbelievable. It's a must win in his mind cause you know, when the playoffs come around, he's gonna spoil people with his play.

Even funnier he picks a fight with what might be the weakest fan base in the league. I mean seriously, find me a team that has back-to-back 50 win seasons, is on it's way to the playoffs again, and regularly has an arena that looks like a ghost town. Of course it's here LBJ decides to get tough with the 4 fans he can find in the arena.

Probably felt like a home game for him....

Why is their fan base so weak?

I mean, you'd assume a good team - in a supposed "black mecca" where people make decent money - should be able to put up pretty decent attendance numbers. I could understand them not being in the top 5, but to be in the late teens-early 20s year after year? Why? Because they lack a true marketable star? Because their PR team/marketing team sucks? Because their fans just don't believe in the team (which is true to an extent, they can't win a title...but still)?

It's going to be interesting to see what route they take in the next few years - spend and try to contend or be "fiscally responsible" and linger in mediocrity forever.

It's one of the primary reasons I was stunned they signed Joe Johnson to that huge contract. Beyond the fact that he wasn't worth it, their fan base sucks and has shown no desire to actually support the team, so why should the ownership show any desire to shell out big bucks and overpay players? Didn't get it at all.

In defense of their fans, the ownership situation in ATL has been a ridiculous mess for years. Hard to support a team with all that shit going on in the background.

I think Atlanta's night life also has something to do with it. It's just not really a sports town. They showed out for the Braves some when the Braves were good--but I don't think I've seen a good crowd for the Hawks well...ever. They make Heat fans look dedicated.

I would also say the Hawks are the worst playoff team in the East. They roll over like dogs, and have matchup problems all over the court against the top teams.

I know a lot of you bastards are waiting for someone to post here after 3 days of non-action.

After three days, I figured it would have been one of the "big 3" Heat nuthuggers with another cool story about how great they are.
