This chick @DishinDirt is tweeting lies in my name. Don't believe her. I'm in Bristol, not even in Miami.
Don't know if anyone is even thinking about next year. . . but (well after the lockout and the owners rape the players because of what the superfriends did) . . . what do the Heat look like? D Wade's comment about not having the highest payroll made me wonder. True. They are 17. But you have to imagine a hard cap comes in.
Also, you have to know that it won't be the same with players going there to win a ring. I don't think lots of guys want anything to do with this team. Maybe some egotistical underachiever would take the minimum, but I gotta think based on most players tweets it is the opposite of what you might of thought a year ago as far as willingness to sign up or a ring based on the unprecedented revulsion this team creates.
Anyways back to my point.
Assuming a lockout. In 2012 they have SIX players under contract at $65,724,000
Lebron 17,545,000
Bosh 17,545,000
Wade 17,024,000
Then (and this is TWO years out)
Miller 5.8
Haslem 4
Joel Anthony 3.75
How exactly can they go forward with this team. They don't even have draft picks for what like the next ten drafts so that neither us nor the raptors would pursue tampering charges?
I truly believe that their original plan was to win the championship this season and to use that leverage to lure role players to play for less $ on their team next year to fill in their needs. Come to Miami for less money, but win a ring and live in South Beach. I think that plan just went up in smoke.
They could just trade Lebron and open up 17 million to other players. That could be two more starters worth of money.
