I love how Mannix says one thing about New York and suddenly he sucks.

All he was saying is that if T-Mac plays to level he's capable of 3-4 years ago, he could be another attractive option for a max free agent to join with. It's not as if he was blatantly stating that T-Mac + LeBron = Championship.

Yeah, some people were making Gasol seem like a scrub when he was traded to the Lakers, it seems it worked quite well....I would expect the same in Cleveland with Amare.

A moot point since we know T Mac will never play at that level again (I do feel bad for T Mac btw, he gets a roooough rap...) and even if he does, he's getting older. He'll be what, 32 by next season?

why is amare's nickname stat? he doesnt rebound that well and doesnt give out many assists so it cant possibly be that he is a stat stuffer, or is it?

If Michael Jordan came back and played like he did 20 years ago, that would be an attractive piece for Lebron to play next to as well.

I think he'll come into New York and play well, but I don't expect it to last. He has a shaky work ethic at best, and I don't think he can keep up the supposed hard work he's put in.

Besides the real reason as already posted, IF he did have higher rebounds and assists it would be STATS. With just scoring it's STAT.

Another thing about stat's defense. Nash is the worst pg defender in the league and phx's only decent wing defender is a 212 year old g-hill. I think our wing defense will instantly make stat an average defender. Stat does like to block shots, he is a career 1.5 a game. I dont expect stat to turn into duncan in his prime, but atleast stat has the tools to be above average.

Last time i checked, everyone said gasol couldnt defend and he was soft before he came to LA. Now he isnt a great defender in LA, but he seems to fit just fine. Talented versitile players like Lebron and Kobe find ways of making it work with other talented players like shaq, pau, and amare.

exactly. nobody on the suns plays d, not nash, hill, or stoudemire. its just something that it not important in that style of game. but amare has all the intangibles you want in a defender. If he cant/wont improve his defense, he will be sent packing this summer. If he does improve, were good to go and hopefully celebrating in mid-June.

It's a nickname that he gave himself. It stands for Standing Tall And Talented. It has stuck with him ever since.
