Anderson Varejao

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wish they would release more information.

Clearly soreness isn't the whole story.

I saw him and talked to him by the locker room after the game and he seemed in good spirits...even told me he would be back soon

A back injury to a post player is as big a deal as an ankle injury to a guard. The only way back to OK is get off your feet and rest it. If you dont take care, it becomes chronic.

So lets ask this question. Can the cavs make that push for the playoffs without him? He would be useful against the Cats, because Jefferson has been tearing it up in the post. This game will really test Hawes and Zeller and Thompson to some extent. But if we cant beat the knicks without AV, we arent going to make the playoffs. I can see the FO playing some wait and see before risking further damage.

Bear in mind we are not going to catch Charlotte. The only playoff spot we have a real shot at is the eight seed, and that means we have to beat the knicks, pistons and the hawks. The hawks are the furthest ahead of us, but IMHO they are driving a strong tank. The pistons are only one game up on us and have not been on fire. The knicks have been wildly inconsistent as always. I think we could play 500 ball and still get there.

I really, really, REALLY hope you're joking.

100% serious sick of him missing games because of a Back soreness guy has screwed us for 3 straight yrs missing so many games and not being able to trade him...SOFT! :thumbdown

If most players went out there with his passion and effort level, they would be consistently injured as well. He doesn't have the body type or durability of a Joakim Noah. Pretty sure Noah has put in tireless effort at the gym to get that way but it's never been in Andy's make up.

Soft? Do you even know what his past injuries were? Torn peroneus longus tendon, broken wrist, and a pulmonary embolism. No one in the league could play with those injuries.

Have you ever had back pain? Real back pain? Andy took a hard fall about a month ago, injuries take time to heal, especially back injuries.

Screw up? Byum was a screwup..many players before him have screwed up. U really need to think more reasonably.
Soft? Try becoming injury prone because of how he plays. He hustles and throws his body around..if every Cav did that how many games U think they would win?

82 regular season games on the wall
Will Andy ever be healthy for them all?

After the seaon its time to part ways...it doesnt appear he has the ability to stay healthy and with his age he's further and further from ever fully recovering...his body's broke..
