Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wrong. He's not a superstar but that is a whole other conversation. Plenty of teams' have not had a "big 3" and still won a championship. How is the big 3 working for us right now?

Disagree. He has the same amount of playoff experience as Wiggins. Seeing Love get pushed around now makes you wonder how he will handle a more physical playoff run. With Love on the roster the Cavs are currently the 5th seed in an awful Eastern Conference. So thus far he hasn't really helped with the "win now" precedent the front office has set.

Shooting 52.2% 22.6 ppg, I wish Love would have an efficient offensive 5 game stretch like that.

Those are insane numbers for a 19 year old rookie. The shooting percentages are outstanding, even his steal to turnover ratio is 1/1. If this guy turns into dominant superstar and Lebron and/or Love bolt it is going to be hard for me to support this team in the future. I've been an ardent Cavs fan since I was eight years old in the late eighties, even during the darkest days of the franchise before Lebron was drafted

We would have been able to let him play through his mistakes we just didn't know it.

Well we are seeing what happens when you try to build a championship without going through battles in the playoffs. Yeah the Celtics and heat both did it, but still had a .500 record in the finals.

Griff has no defensive awareness

Interesting to see who pushed for the trade. Lebron may have asked, but he had to know Love was a stat padder in Minnie. I don't trust Dan Gilbert anymore at all. Guy is the definition of a Dan Snyder type of owner.

In the win against Indiana, Wiggins scored 20 points. He keeps hitting the 20 (20+) mark these days.

If he continues like this he may end up averaging something like 18-19ppg 4-5rpg 2-3apg for his rookie season...

Those aren't that far from LeBron's rookie season numbers, and LeBron came into the league with a more NBA ready body.

In the 11 games since Wiggins came back to Cleveland he's averaging 21ppg on 49% shooting, as well as 41% from 3.

The sample size is starting to become quite large in that he is just playing solid consistent basketball, and his shooting %'s are awesome during this run.

People so wildly overreacted at the begging of the year to his slow start.

The scary part is that he has been able to totally turn his play around and reach this new level and he's still just 19. He's on a bad team and his season started terribly. More than a few guys in his position have seen it spiral the other way instead of what he has done which is grab the bull by the horns and turn it around.

The biggest miss on him was the idea that he would be extremely limited offensively. His shooting has been down right good during this stretch, and anyone who watches him sees at least 1 spin move or post up a night where you can just see what a monster he is going to be once his body fills out and he gets stronger.

I was very much for the Love-Wiggins trade but now I am wondering whether I was wrong. I actually felt more sure that trade was a good idea then I have pretty much anything I can remember in sports. Sigh.

Really happy to see Wiggins playing well. He's in a situation that's best for him and he's making the most of his opportunities. I don't think he would have gotten the opportunity to go through the growing pains of his rookie year here as opposed to what he can do in Minnesota with no pressure at all to win.

Wiggins is slated to participate in the dunk contest. If this is true, maybe he will have a shot to win it.

It seems that the main difference between the Kevin Love of the past four years and the Kevin Love we have seen so far this season is that Cavaliers fans weren't looking for his faults before, and now you are. His shot attempts per game are down, most likely because he is now the second or third option rather than top option. Everything else is pretty much the same.

And now that Wiggins isn't on the Cavaliers, we stopped looking at the faults in his game, and instead look at the big numbers he is putting up on a 5 win team.

Wiggins will probably win Rookie of the Year, but do see that there are issues to work on for both Love and Wiggins.

I think lost in all this is that Minnesota was a forty win team last year on the back of Kevin Love. They might win 12 this year. For all the talk of him not being a winner, Love certainly helped the Wolves win a lot more games than they probably should have. It's not his fault that Blatt has yet to figure out how to utilize him properly.

Good point. Although to be fair, he wasn't carrying that team all by himself. Rubio/Pekovic were also crucial. And now they're without all three of those guys. Of course their record will be worse.

I agree that Rubio was important to the team, but I think the importance of Pekovic is overstated. He only played in 54 games last year and most of the data I've seen shows that the Love/Dieng pairing was significantly more effective both on offense and defense than Love/Pekovic, which was a train wreck defensively.

Wiggins would have been the best corner stander in the League here.
