I really hope he is gone either via buyout or trade. If not I won't blame him, but if he is on the team next year i'll be beyond pissed.
This is so true CLEfan330. It does not matter to me if he stays or goes. I prefer him to be traded for any assets we can use but if he stays, he is more likely to get hurt since that has not happened to him yet and the odds are in our favor. I don't think we make the playoffs this year anyways and he could stay regardless.
Antawn's nice guy act has gotten really old - spurred by the fact that he "plays" like a selfish bastard:
1. Chuck 47 shots a night.
2. Miss 42 of them.
3. Score 28 points once every 5 games.
4. Pad stats.
5. Avoid any and all contact on defense.
6. Forget about rebounding
7. Repeat. Suck.
Let's skip the hyperbole. He's averaging 16 shot attempts a game and is missing 9 of them (42%) and is averaging 17 points a game. Certainly not a great percentage, but he's not chucking any worse than Kobe (24 shots a game at 43%), Melo (18 shots a game at 40%) or Monte (19 shots a game at 43%).
The 6-7 rebounds a game and poor defense is certainly not great, though he is averaging a steal a game and almost a block a game.
My point is, that even though he's not part of the future and may in fact be messing up the tanking, he is actually producing pretty well for a 35 year old guy who everyone on here thinks sucks. I'm not defending his position on the team at all, just trying to temper the ridiculous shit he takes.
He's a 35-year-old POWER FORWARD taking the most shots on the team while hitting just 42% of them. He is horrendous defensively, and he doesn't rebound.
Far as I'm concerned, Tawn deserves all the shit he gets from this board... and then some.
