Anthony Schwartz - Former Brown

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He is going to get cut anyway ...

I would not be opposed if they did it earlier, there's enough justification at this point. Only reason to keep him around if there are injuries through training camp and the preseason.

Nah. Keep his ass in camp until the last possible minute and beat the shit out of him the entire time. Treat him like a practice dummy.

That's pretty much what he is at this point. Maybe they could put him on practice squad :chuckle:

While he is a far better receiver than Schwartz, they were specifically seeking a speed threat and St. Brown ran a 4.6. I'd listen to an argument that they drafted a possession receiver in the third round the very next year, but if you have a need for speed, St. Brown isn't your guy.

The annoying thing about Schwartz is that it looks to me like he actually gets open and runs decent routes. He just cannot catch the ball at all.

NBA wings needs to be able to shoot. NFL receivers need to be able to catch. Man’s got to go.

This did not happen.
This is what happens a lot of times with super athletes in basketball and track stars in the nfl. They’ve used their physical ability to dominate their entire life up until they go pro and they never worked on their actual game.

Schwartz has always surprised me with his football skills. He's not just a deep threat. A more well rounded player than most give him credit for. He does have the yips for pass catching, though, at least in games. He must be better in practice or he wouldn't have lasted this long. His luck may have run out.
