I've always wanted to own a ally. That's awesome that your family owns one and you can bowl just about whenever you want for no fee. I grew up at my main bowling alley so I get discounts and often just bowl for free because I know everybody.
Since we're on the subject of bowling balls, I own three.
First bowl I ever bought was a few years back when I got the Jigsaw made by Hammer:
Linkage
I've shot some good games with this ball, I call it my baby considering it was my first ball. Average went from 178 to 196 after I worked with this thing for a few months in the summer about 4-5 years back.
Second ball I bought was a storm gravity, but I hated that ball. I bought it for around $190 and I used it two weeks and won a few jackpots to pay it off and ended up selling it for 10 Four Lokos, yes 10 Four Lokos, to my buddy.
But in my bag besides the Jigsaw is yet another storm ball, this one the Nano:
Linkagel
Definitely bought into all the hype, and it came through. Shot my first ever 700 series with it 2 years ago(725), and then followed up last year with my highest series ever at 770 with this ball. However, the ball seemingly has lost it's touch no matter how many times I dump it in the hot water.
Last but not least, my newest ball and my current favorite is the Nexxus made by Brunswick:
Linkage
This ball has so far taken my average from 197 to a 220. Its pretty dirty, the movement and the pin action it creates is fantastic. Guy at my local pro shop said they recently stashed some rare Nexxxus(triple X) bowling balls that were released and mentioned how much more hook and back end it has on it. I'll probably end up buying one from him sooner or later.
Also about kicking anyone's ass.. I'm game. Time and place.. :chuckles:
