Actually been thinking more about this. You may be able to rent a steamer if you do not have one, and steam most of the glue loose in a matter of 15 minutes. Or you could go in the bathroom and turn nothing but hot water on in the shower and let it steam up the bathroom leave the door shut, do this for like 5-6 hours in a row, it may come off like butter.

That's an interesting idea... would waste a heck of a lot of water but sounds viable. All 3 of my bathrooms have these damn things too!
