anyone started an ASSOCIATION???

i did but i deleted it cuz i wanted to update the rosters. I started a new one again today but the pacers killed me...so im starting it over again. :mad:
 
wow i found my swag with boobie earlier in the week.....boy,can he shoot!!

anyone play with any other team other than the cavs online...i play with the suns and jazz

Ok.....started another Asssociation with the Cavs and made some INCREDIBLE trades. I kept the core of my team while gaining some bigtime piecies. I traded Kinsey,Pavlovic,Snow, 1st for Mike Miller, Booth, Craig Smith. Than traded Smith,Jawad, 2nd for Hakim Warrick. Traded Wally, 1st, 2nd for Rip Hamilton. Than I released Booth and signed PJ Brown.

Lineup

PG- Mo/Gibson
SG-Rip/Delonte
SF-Lebron/Mike Miller
PF-Ben/Warrick/JJ
C- Z/Andy/PJ Brown

.......alot of possible combonations there
 
I started one i play on pro and i am 8 -2.
It suck i wanna go up and i will have games were i dominate. Then i will have games were i have to take over with bron to win. One thing i would recomend is switching up the d alot. I play man to man if someone is killing me, 2-3 and roam with lebron if they are killing me inside and 3-2 and roam with andy if they are killing me outside. Another thing that can really help out late is put it mo-dolonte or boobie- pav or kinsey- lebron- andy or joe(i picked him up) and play fullcourt trap and double the ballhandler with the guy guarding the inbouner. I would not recomend doing it all game but if your down late do it

BY chance did you have the trade override turned on?

I got an association with the T-Wolves now. Since I like to build young teams that aren't that good but half talent I chose them.

This was the line up when I started the season

Randey Foye/ Sebastian Telfair
MIke Miller/ Rashard McCants
Ryan Gomes/ Corey Brewer/ Rodney Carney
Kevin Love/ Craig Smith

This is the line up now

Devin Harris/ Jered BAyless

YOu may ask how this happened. Free agency baby!

I traded Randy Foye and 2 firsts for Devin Harris

Then traded Corey Brewer, Ryan GOmes and other guys who ahd bad contracts for expirings

Signed Lamar Odom, Joe Smith, Gerald Green and Marion

THen trade Marion, Gerald Green, Javale McGee for Rashard Lewis and Courtney LEe

Then I traded Kevin Love for Ryan Gomes
 
My lineup is pretty slick. You guys don't have the trade override on, right? I think that's cheap and makes for way unrealistic trades.

Back to back championships in 82 game seasons and working on the 3rd with a 32-17 start.

Trying to find a way to get Oden to take over C from Z but it's proving rather difficult.

Fun stuff.

EDIT: I showed my friend and he doesn't believe that I have override off. I realize these trades are AMAZING but what can I say? I'd be a pimp GM ;)

Ya it is pretty unrealistic but in the opposite way its unrealistic. Like they don't value expiring contracts like they do in real life
 
nope i dont have trade override on...but i think i just ****ed up my season. Z always gets fatigued in like 2 mins so i traded his ass. But i didnt get a big man. I hit start and the trade accepted for Tashaun Prince. Now i get outrebounded and have no big man besides JJ...

so i started a new association again. This time fantasy draft. Got a good team too:

Gibson/ Mike James
Ben Gordon/ M. Finley/ Q.Ross
Lebron / S. Battier
A. Jamison / J. Kapono
B. Haywood / JJ Hickson

and 1 or 2 other guys
 
Today I traded Cortney Lee and ROdney Carney for JR Smith then signed Marcus Camby and traded him, Ryan Gomes, and Joe Smith for Josh Smith
 
I NEVER have trade override on.........(im assuming you can do the trade anyway or there no cap?)
 
yeah, when i used to on 2k8 i got bored cause my team was too beasty

I always play my associations with override on... but that's because I make trades between the computer controlled teams. You just can't trust the CPU to not mess up a team. For my own trades, I try to stay realistic, not whatever the game allows.
 
So i just played the celtics


cheapest game ever. Everytime we got within 1 pt LeBron Missed the ****ing dunk, even if it was wide open. I finally took the lead within the last 4 mins. Guess wat? Lebron misses the dunk they make a 3. I really hate how the computer goes God mode when its losing in the last mins of the game.They make everything. Then in the last min or 2 we started fouling. One of there players misses a free throw. Down by 3. Ben Gordon makes the 3. They call a TO then guess the **** what? I had LeBron, Jamison, and Battier on this mofo all contested the shot within a CM and Devon Harris swishes a 3. Yeah...i was screaming **** real loud

then we kept fouling. Everytime theyd miss a free throw, yeah guess what? None of the mofos got the rebound. Someone on the celtics would come from the 3pt line and over the back grab the ball over someone on my team. Get fouled go to the foul line. It just kept happening. LeBron was a ****ing monster the whole game until we got up or were about to take the lead. It was like a curse. Im not even blaming the dunking misses on him, im blamin it on the cheap ass computer cause he be wide open missing dunks.

Look at these numbers, i was playing 9 min quarters. And ALL lebrons points were in moderation. And most are from dunks

LeBron: 64pts, 3 reb, 4ast, 5stl
Ben Gordon: 21 pts, 5 ast, 5 reb
Jamison: 16pts
Kapono: 12pts
Gibson: 8pts

Final Score: 127 - 130 Celtics
