Now I really hope the Wizards continue to decline. Getting Gilbert here in a Cleveland would be spectacular. He would get to play with his buddy Lebron and his best friend in Hughes and contend year after year.

No sense in getting excited about this but it is nice to know there is chance.

I hate rumors like this. You could make a thread for all the players in the nba who can opt out in said year because of either losing, problems with coaches/players, more money etc.

hoopshype didnt write the article a Washington times reporter did so it must have a touch of validity to it....maybe not

regardless we wouldnt have any cap space if he opted out so he would have to take the MLE which is a joke considering Arenas deserves near max deals

Well, after LeBron signs his extension, the speculation will have to travel somewhere else. I would imagine we will see a lot of "LeBron to opt out after 09/10" stories in a few years.
