Around the NFL 2012-2013

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'll praise Flacco once he can prove to do this as the season progresses. He's a notorious fast starting QB when most defenses have yet to catch up to the variety of offensive schemes. I never get too excited over stellar QB play early in the year. As the season goes, offensive numbers start to drop, and lackluster QB's like Flacco start to fade.

Same, Flacco has always been known to show flashes of brilliance. His biggest weakness is consistency. All that said, he certainly looked great in game 1.

Anyone see how Josh Morgan lost the game for the Redskins?

It's even more funny considering what he said before the game:

“He’s the ultimate competitor, a great competitor,” Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgansaid. “He’s one of those guys that plays—you know how they say play to the whistle? He’s one of those guys that plays until you walk back to the huddle…He’s just got a little extracurricular with him, you know.”

How you stop him: The key, according to Morgan, is to play your own game and not allow Finnegan to get to you.

Retaliating, Morgan said, could result in a costly penalty.
“You don’t want to be the second guy because the second guy is going to get caught,” Morgan said. “He’s going to come at you and he’s going to be the first, second and third guy. You’ve got to remind yourself not to be that fourth and fifth guy, and throw your hands up and walk back to the huddle.”

He's shown improvement though, beating the Steelers on a long TD pass last season and played pretty well in the playoffs. In terms of development and opening up the playbook he's improved and it's good to see, unlike perpetual bags of garbage like Sanchez.

So what does everyone thing of the Giants-TB fiasco? Honestly, I don't see a problem with it at all. They were on the field, the game is still going on. Why should the defense have to give up when, if they get the ball, they still have a chance to win? Just seems like Coughlin was mad because he wasn't expecting it.

3rd time. Way to go Manning

3 for 3 so far Manning. :chuckles:

First time Ryan isn't starting with a short field.

Lucky for me Ryan hasn't thrown the ball much and they seem to be focusing on Turner and the ground game. I'm up 60 and Ryan has 0 points thus far.

Jesus Christ Denver, take care of the ball.

How is that Atlanta's ball? The replay clearly shows Decker falling on top of the fumble and Denver came out of the pile with the ball.

These Refs are atrociously bad. And it is plain as day.

I can't believe the NFL hasn't settled this yet.

Jesus, how late was that throw?

These are some seriously bad refs. Goodell needs to fix this thing, this is Monday Night Football and it's pathetic.
