we can all agree that our defense is what is holding this team back. as pip talked about in his vented topic, we are taking dumb shots as well but if we were playing better defense we wouldnt be so upset over the shot selection.

if you all can turn back the call one year and remember what anderson did to this team, you would all agree that we would be playing much better defense with him not hurt.

sometimes it only takes one guy, it seemed as if everytime av got into the game last year the team played harder and tougher. their would be no reason why tha same thing would not happen now.

we need this floppy haired guy to be out on the court going nuts, and setting an example on how to play d which our superstar can not do.

:allhail:

we need this guy.

No Sh*t :chuckles:

Yeah he and Newble aren't all stars, they are important role players we need to help our low post and perimeter defense.

If this is a petition I"ll sign it. I said our most important bench player would still be AV, not Donyell Marshall.

the good news is that we are only contractually committed to snow, hughes, marshall and jones for the next three seasons. we will be able to go after some quality free agents for the 2009-10 season.

AV brings a defensive energy. None of our guys have that right now. Eric Snow plays defense, but he is no way an energy guy.

AV brings alot of con's also. He is very foul prone, and his offensive game has limitations. As much spark he brings off the bench, he could easily become a big burden as he gets into foul trouble in almost every game.

Nevertheless, we could really use his intensity right now.
