Avengers: Endgame Spoilers Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Will they get FF? Doom would be a great villain if they did him right. He really should get his own origin story stand-alone.

I'm guessing X-Men will not happen for a long time.

That Fox merger is done so they have the rights.

Warlock/Magus though is my guess for next big villain.

8.5 out of 10. Really good. Fat Thor was awesome, and I thought the CGI with Hulk was pretty hilarious too. I thought they distributed screentime pretty well - Nice to see Hawkeye and Black Widow get some real minutes.

Also, made me very glad I didn't waste money on Captain Marvel. Groot makes her look wooden.

What was even easier was Tony Stark figuring out how time travel worked.

This.

You also have to believe that, Tony Stark can solve time travel in one evening, but, somehow cant reproduce Pym particles, when he has samples in front of him?

I also found it strange that the snap survivors didn't do any training/warming up prior to traveling back in time...they basically sit on the bench for 5 years, and as soon as time travel is solved, they jump back into the fight of their life immediately. What's the rush? You can travel back in time, and it's been 5 years...

Yup this is what I've been saying... what Endgame was truly missing was a training interlude with lots of squats, some good cardio laps in Wakanda, stair runs in the Sanctum. Needed to see my dudes get their conditioning up.

Seems like most of the original Avengers are being phased out. Except Thor who is being phased into pregnancy pants and chilling with the Guardians.

Black Widow, Iron Man, Cap - Done

Hulk - Only one good arm, maybe a background role but he seems done when it comes to combat

Hawkeye - Retired

(Random Thoughts)

Seems like they're setting the stage for the daughters to take over for Iron Man and Hawkeye at some point. Looking forward to it.

Captain Marvel needs a Ragnarok type movie, Brie Larson just kills the immersion with her stiff acting. I'm not sure if she's worse than pre-Ragnarok Thor, but it's just bad.

Surprised Drax didn't get a moment beating the fuck out of Thanos, since that's his character's main objective

Great movie!

The kid from Iron Man 3 is in the funeral scene and was added to the cast list fairly early. People think that it might be logical for him to take over the mantel of Iron Man.

Even after Iron Man 3 some people thought he could be set up to take over. Marvel has had the actor, Ty Simpkins, at every marvel movie premiere since Iron Man 3.

Some think he was an easter egg at the funeral then the banging of the metal at the end is actually him building a new suit. To me that is a stretch but I wouldn't mind him being Iron Man. Getting a young character to take over Iron Man could keep the Iron Man and Spiderman relationship going.

Definitely, I love the idea of that dynamic.

I skipped Iron Man 3 so my apologies for being out of the loop

I saw Iron Man 3 and I don't have a fucking clue who that kid is.

Its the kid who helps him charge his suit after Tony is stranded in the middle of nowhere. He is basically Tony's side kick for half the movie. At the end Tony outfits the kid's garage to be a mini lab like Tony uses.

Pretty much all I remember of Iron Man 3 is that I saw it and it sucked.

I don't really have any interest in the extended universe stuff or the new potential villains. I got started with Iron Man more out of curiosity, and then was sucked it by the generally excellent casting. Loved RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth in particular. So oddly, it was a character-driven thing for me. So Endgame is probably my last Marvel movie. But I am really glad they ended it as well as they did, because it felt like closure to me for those characters.

Exceptions are I will probably follow Guardians if Pratt stays, especially if Hemsworth is there as well. And Deadpool. But that's because of how perfect those actors are rather than the Marvel aspect itself.

Great flick: as any time travel movie goes there will be ton of inconsistencies but very well done.

-Enjoyed that Jim Rodgers closed the loop (was pushed forward in time and now he gets to go back and live his life again)
-Thor and Rocket basically steal the show. Can wait to see "Asguardians of the Galaxy"
-Was hoping for a Black Widow origin story at some point which I guess can still happen. Also no funeral for her?
-I still hate Captain Marvel
-Thanos dying without us ever seeing Silver Surfer or Galactus is a bit strange

The Russo's did her so much better than her movie did, though.

I very much like that they didn't use her as a deus ex machina to kill Thanos. She helped in the fight, but it would have felt cheap if someone else came in and won the whole thing for all the other characters we've been watching for a decade now.

Endgame is the second highest grossing film in history after only two weeks. Raking in $2.1 Billion worldwide. $630 million domestic. Black Panther rules the MCU roost in domestic gross at $700 million after 20 weeks.

It is likely that it will surpass Avatar ($2.7 billion) as early as next week.

Remember when people said a movie about a B-Lister like Iron Man would never work or make money?
