Avengers: Infinity War spoiler thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can I take a 6 year old to this movie without feeling like a terrible parent? From reading online it doesn’t seem like there’s anything that is way out of bounds for his age....
They say "shit" a couple times. Very little gore. There's obviously a lot of fantasy/sci fi/comic book type violence. So if they can handle that type of violence, they should be fine.

Thanks for info man. We’re going for it. Some of his classmates saw Black Panther but there were a few intense scenes I thought were a bit heavy for him. I’ve heard Avengers is a bit safer in that regard.

He’s pumped so hopefully it works out.

Saw it. Thought it was great.

Hated the ending.

Note; don’t read comics, judge movies on the fact that it’s a movie.

I'm starting to think neither will die... The writers have to know it's just too predictable at this point... Everyone is expecting one of the two to get killed off. If I were making this film, knowing what the expectations were, I'd play to them and then not kill either character.

There are ways to retire Steve Rogers or Tony Stark without killing them off (like leaving them stranded somewhere, etc).

Right. And as someone who's never even seen a comic book, there's no way of knowing that everything gets undone.

I don't read comic books either, but there certainly is a way to know things can get undone. I mean beyond realizing that some of the characters who died have movies coming up. Dr Strange says he just went through all of the possible outcomes and only found one where they win, then he gives away his stone, then saves Tony, then tells Tony this was the only way right before he fades away (or however you want to describe it). Clearly things were still on the path for the one outcome where Thanos ultimately loses.

One thing they could have done differently, though, is not kill off the ones people know are going to be in future movies. I don't know which ones have been announced, but clearly Dr Strange, Spiderman, Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy will all have future movies.

Agreed I hope they get put through the ringer and the script really requires them to sacrifice only for Hawkeye to get hit by a rogue blast and die.

So I watched Dr. Strange and Civil War over the weekend. At the end of DS, after the credits it said "Dr. Strange will return." At the end of Civil War, same thing but referencing Spiderman. Have any of the other marvel movies had the same line with one of the characters that disappeared at the end of Infinity War?

Did Black Panther disappear? Can't remember. If so, pretty sure it said that at the end of his film's credits.

Yeah, those dudes are all coming back... :chuckle:

Guys .. the snap gets undone. It gets undone in the comics.

The ONLY way to bring everyone back is if someone else gets the Infinity Gauntlet and undoes everything that happened. That's the ONLY way everyone comes back.. We're not just talking about superheroes.

One out of two of every living being in the universe just died. That's death on a unimaginable scale...

It was so much that Thanos needed the Gauntlet to get it done; and it's so much that the only way to undo it is with the Gauntlet itself.

Yeah, no, I get all that. I was just asking because it seems like they're leaving breadcrumbs for those that aren't aware of the source material.

It could also just be them referencing other movies coming out (I think Spiderman came out after CW?)
