wonder if Ferry and crew will be there to check him out in person?

I don't think Minnesota is looking to move Banks. Reports are that they like him and he has been playing very well for them.

If the Cavs were interested in Banks than they blew it by not getting him from Boston earlier. He was buried on Boston's bench and the cost to acquire him wouldn't have been much at all. Banks ended up basically being a throw in as part of the Davis/Wally trade.
Banks was just the type of young PG the Cavs should look to acquire. With his play in recent games with the T-Wolves there's a chance he could have been the long term answer at PG. If not, he could have at least been a solid backup for the long term.
I think the Cavs really blew this one by not getting him from Boston earlier since the word was that they were interested in him.

cavs want him they can still get him... tell u the truth i like snow there, hes great on def and can shoot to... jones has been on fire after he been taking out of the starting lineup, we make a move great, we dont i think jones will improve even more...

We might have to throw in a 2nd Rd. pick... :chuckles:

Unfortunately, Isiah Thomas doesn't run the Hornets or that might have a chance...

And I don't think Minny is going to let Banks go anywhere, hes been playing too well for them.

Isiah would only do that if Luke were making 12 million a year.

So Banks is pretty much the future for Minny...this means Jaric may be available for cheap.....Ira and Luke and a 2nd for Jaric and Richie Frahm works....

Jaric....snow....wilks
Hughes....DJ.....Frahm
LeBron....Pavs....Graham
Gooden....Marshall....AV
Z....AV....Hendu....Lil Z

Jaric is a guy who is versitle as heck and our 1 , 2 , 3 spots are pretty interchangable....he is a good defender and could produce WAY more than Snow and in this trade we give up basically nothing...if we want to contedn we NEED more production from our PG

Jaric didnt even play tonight. However, if they want to move him, they just gave him a $36-42 million deal and i dont know what we have that would match that.

I would be okay with moving Snow and Luke but that is a bad trade for Minny. I won't trade Sasha and I'm sure they would take Drew (since tonight Blount and Griffin COMBINED for 2 rbs) but that would mean we would have 3 PGs with lenghty deals.

I think the time to get Marcus Banks is over. We probably could have had him for cheap before but we didn't pull the trigger and now his stock has skyrocketed.

I would like Jaric, however his contract was a little over the top. If we were to move Snow in the process then I'd be fine with it. As for Banks, I totally agree with Narl in that its too little too late for us. His trade value would now have risen some, and I'm sure Minny would now like to keep him.

Yeah after watching banks i believe he will be a nice starting point guard. He also wont be dealt because i believe he cant be traded anyway. Jaric not a fan of, too injury prone and id like someone a little quicker.

He can be traded...somebody cleared that up in another thread.

But I wouldnt wanna touch Jaric..he has busted since going to Minn. He never really was that good anyway, to get that big of a contract. So he is playing like he has always played, but his play doesnt warrant that contract.

Hard to say Jaric has been a bust in Minny, since his numbers are similar to last year. Three point % a little off, but he is playing some decent defense. He is a net +10 PER and Point Guard is the only position in Minneapolis which is net ahead of the opposition except power forward. I would take Jaric in a skinny minute. His height, ability to pass and strong defense would put a lot of pressure on opposing guards on both ends. He is a legit three point threat as well. I think a line up which includes him and Larry Hughes in the back court would create match up problems everywhere for most teams.
