This game has shattered any hopes I may have had about obtaining my pilot's license in the near future, but I love this game. The boards are amazing even though when I play rush mode I have no idea where the enemy is attacking from after the second base gets taken.... and the fact that my aiming is atrocious.

fuck, i fly for the military in real life and i can't shoot anything down and get shot down in about 5 minutes

I can fly the helicopter decently but can't maneuver very quickly, but that damn airplane I cannot control worth a damn.

haven't really messed around with the helicopter, i wonder if some of the guys who fly the jets use a joystick because using mouse and keyboard is difficult

I used a joystick 100% of the time in Battlefield 1942 whenever I was in a plane. Probably a good idea. I strafed the shit out of people on Wake Island. :chuckles:

Flying the choppers are hard as hell. How the hell am I supposed to unlock anything if I can't kill anything? Same goes for the jets.

I usually play rush mode and get stuck on the team where no one wants to do anything but snipe or fly the helicopters/planes straight into the ground.

FINALLY unlocked the flares for the jets...now I just need to unlock the missiles and I'll be good to go.


Choppers are hard as hell to fly and even harder to kill people with.

I gave up trying the jets. I've never been much of a flyer in BF games, I tried the jet twice and it was not pretty. I'll stick to tanks for my vehicles. I've been mainly playing TDM to get my rank up, if you can control games for awhile you can bust off 10 wins really fast and rack up points quick. I'm now 23 from last night being 18.

They were hard as heck in Bad Company 1 multi-player with a joystick. I just assumed the folks who could do it well were using a mouse and keyboard.

It takes a lot of practice and by the time you get hovering down and stop crashing in to the ground, you end up getting taken out with a rocket launcher.

But the folks who master it are something else ... and in a multi-player environment that's not a bad thing. The trick is just getting the flight time so you can get the hang of it.
