Answer: Probably, definitely no.
Things are not black & white, and I think we should call a spade a spade: if this woman was fat and ugly, we'd be looking at it (at least I would) from a completely different perspective. There are the have's and have nots.
When/if you have a daughter & a son, I can guarantee you her curfew will be much shorter than his. Is it a double standard? Yes, but they exist for a reason.
Let me pose another question: 2 men are caught stealing food, one bc he's a petty theft, the other because his family is starving. They receive the same punishment, but should they?
Again, letter vs. spirit of the law.
