Best Pizza In Northeast Ohio

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mellow Mushroom is overrated. Service sucks and it's really expensive.
Angelo's is expensive, but awesome.
Danny Boy's has really good...everything. Love eating there, great atmosphere.
Sweet Basil is great too. Danny sells the wine at the same price he buys it.

Gino's East in Chicago is solid.

Pizza from Sunrise Inn in Warren is my favorite, by far.

To me, Akron is NE Ohio, since I am down here in Cbus. So if you are ever around there, I would recommend Luigi's or Gionino's. Both hold their own.

If you ever make your way down to Cbus Godfather, I can let you know of amazing local places down here. A ton of amazing pizzas.

Romeo's on the circle by the fire station, best pizza in the neighborhood imo. Gionino's closer to the highway ramp (Massilon Rd. Exit) is also pretty good. Tried Zeppe's once because it looks really good on their website but thought it was a little bland and average. I've always been a little partial to Marco's - they just opened one by the Family Video on the corner of Portage and Wales in Jackson, not too far of a drive.

I Haven't been in the area for years but Kraus' Pizza at 43 and 619 was the best around there.

Thanks, will have to try Romeo's and Kraus'.

I do like Marco's a lot as well. Just want to try everything. They must have a deal with Family Video because the one in North Canton is also next to a FV. And I think there is a Marcos/FV combo out by Glenoak as well.

RE Pizza Fire, it's pretty good...I think my expectations were a bit too high going in, but definitely worth going back.

Also I love Luigi's pizza. Can't say the same for the rest of their food. Some people make hyperbolic statements like "Pepsi Blue tastes like Windex!". Well Luigi's pasta literally does taste like Chef Boyardee.

Nothing beats the taco truck on S Main in Akron though :)

I tried Fire Pizza, couldn't even finish one slice.

I don't like Luigi's pizza either. It's just okay to me, never understood the hype over it here. It's not the best pizza in Akron/ Summit County like it claims to be IMO.

Romeo's on the circle by the fire station, best pizza in the neighborhood imo.

I had Romeo's over in Mayfield Village and it was very good. I feel like it's reputation to the average joe is far inferior to the taste of the pizza.

Been searching for great Cleveland pizza for a long time. Where are Danny Boy's and Mellow Mushroom?

Danny Boy's has locations in Broadview Heights, Rocky River, Canton, Chesterland and Sandusky.

Mellow Mushroom has a location in Rocky River.

Mellow Mushroom is really good, but expensive and takes forever.

Danny Boys is good, although I like their Melts and Calzones better than their pizza.

Angelo's has the best pizza I've had as a life long Westsider. Their cheese is the best, period.

However; my favorite pizza is probably Pizzaz. Over by John Carroll or Mayfield heights, either one works.

Ate here plenty while I was doing my Master's at JCU and I really miss it now that I've moved away (Really miss Dave's Cosmic Subs a couple doors down as well). Loved the diablo sauce.

I tried Geraci's while I was there as well and didn't think it was worth the wait or money.

Pizzazz on Som Center Rd is my favorite by a country mile. Hearty, rich, fresh toppings, incredible flavor. Worth twice as much as it costs.

Alot of people like Antonio's, i think it's awful. Romeo's pizza has sweet sauce, which i find utterly awful.

Actually Marco's aint half bad if you want basic pizza, their crust is great
