Best play in Madden?

I was just wondering for those of you who play PS2 or X-Box or anything else...What are your highlights in Madden or any other sports games for that matter.

Madden: I've got 2 as CLE.

I was down 21-17 to the Jags with 40 seconds left. They are on second down and I only have one TO. So if I don't stop them it's over. I get a hold of Andra Davis and rush right through the hole as they run an iso. I time it perfectly, and hit the Hit-Stick, and BOOM. He fumbles. Davis picks it up on one bounce, runs twenty yards with a FB on his tail, and dives into the end-zone for the win. It's not the skill it's the clutch-ness (if that's a word) of it. My mouth literally dropped when it happened.

I was tied with Denver in over-time, and getting ticked off because I would rather lose than tie in a video-game. With just over a minute Plummer gets them to their 40, and I'm just about out of it since they got Elam. I stack the box with Zone. I wanted to guess on a guy (I'm in Nickel) and double him out of the zone, so I get Bodden and targer Lelie. He goes on an out side slant and I jump the route. Sure enough Jake chucks it, and I press the ol' Triangle, snag it in mid air and a perfect angle, spin around Jake, Juke Lelie, and run 80 yards for the win.

NCCA Football: As OSU.

I'm down 16-7 going into the 4th against Penn State's D. Crap. I started off the quarter on D, and get a key 3-and-out. Drive down the field on mainly by a 30 yard bomb to Ginn Jr from Smith. And cap it off with a highlight-reel Sportscenter catch by Gonzo in the back of the end-zone on a fly-route. Poetry in motion! Already 3 minutes left and it's 16-14. They drive down to their 50 mostly by the run but had two 3rd down convo's on short passes. They try to end it on a bomb to my 20, and i take a hold Salley. I run straight left on a dead spring, barely get there, and pick it off just as it's entering their WR's hands. I've got about 60 yards to go with 1 minute left, no time outs. I'm freaking out. After two long passes and an incomplete (ALL to Ginn) I'm at my 50 with 30 seconds left. I call a slant, I almost get sacked, but scramle out of it to my 35 on the left hashmark. I get the spike down with 4 seconds left and set up the kick of a life time. My heart nearly went through my chest. I nearly just paused the game to settle down but kept going. 52 tards is not the easiest kick. I take my time aiming, and kick....I'm watching the ball like no tomorrow. Thing hits the top of the bottom bar about a foot from the bar in the corner and goes in. I'm now jumping like an idiot at this point.



I know some of you will have better ones it's just always fun to see what people have done.

My friends and I held a 3 person double elimination Madden Tourney because they wouldn't let me rent NCAA 2007 last night for 360 because I didn't have a credit card :thumbdown

So I got it later but anyway I owned people with the Arizona Cardinals..Boldin Fitzgerald on O and Al Wilson and Antrelle Rolle on defense.

I did the Prevent when he wanted to air it out to Chad or picked anything in the shotgun. I'd slide Wilson over to watch for Henry or Houshmandzadeh and keep Macklin nearby when Rolle was on Johnson.

And if he tried running with Rudi I did the Bonzai Blitz It gives you a ton of people rushing in and doesn't cripple your secondary.

I won 24-17 35-7 28-23 and 34-31


When I'm OSU I either do a Hail Mary and connect with Ginn Frost or Gonzalez or wait till the db's fall back and take off with Smith. Occasionally Pitman is left alone and I hit him on a short route for 15+.

I'm almost to year two now so I'll have Chris Wells destroying people. I play on Heisman too, and still win bye two TD's or better

lol I destroy all my friends (never lost a tourney). I can do hot routes so they don't even realize it, and whenever they bring their S's up I go long everytime.

I love it when a DB is closing in (Is coming from the middle of the field to tackle me by the sideline), and right before he gets to me, I do a spin to his direction which results in me being hind him, him falling out of bounds, and me running down the field for the TD.

I love the same scenario but when I can incorporate more moves in it. Like the juke, into a spin, into another spin in the other direction.

Great times with me and my friends…even online.

i dont remember the score, but it was Madden 04 i think...

It was the superbowl. We were tied and I just scored on a HB Pass which led to a FG. So i was up 3 and I was winning with like 10 seconds left in the game. They did the kick return and got him down at like his 20 yard line. Then I ask madden for a Defense play which was a dumb move and he picked a blitz while McNabb and the eagles did a Hail Mary and they scored on a touchdown with 0 seconds left, and the WR was untouched because of my dumbass Blitz.. so i lost the superbowl.

the next play was when I returned a 100 yard kick return to win the game, which was pretty sweet...

Best Madden play...

I was playing as the '86 Browns against '86 Denver. The game was insanely close to the real life game except I ended up on my own 8 down 20-13 with 2:20- something to play.

The drive was pretty similiar to the one Elway conducted against us. I was sweet as Kosar and actually had a 14 yard run with him on a 3rd and 14 play back at my own 18. The longest pass on the drive was 25 yards. I got sacked twice and got burned for grounding another time. With about 30 seconds left I got stuck on fourth down at my own 48 with 14 yards to go. I completed the 25 yarder to Webster Slaughter. It was an ugly pass to the sideline that actually got tipped up into the air. TRIANGLE TRIANGLE TRIANGLE BABY!!! Webster pulled it down and got knocked out of bounds immediately. Perfect cause I needed to stop the clock.

I got sacked again and had to let the clock tick down to about 15 seconds. I didnt want to use my TO until there were about 10 seconds left. Next play I saw they were blitzing and ran a really risky draw up the middle with Byner. I got nipped behind the line by an end but stayed on my feet. A couple jukes and a failed leap out of bounds got it to the 3 with 3 seconds remaining. I called my TO and thought about it. I decided I was gonna run a bootleg with Bernie, stop, turn and pass to the opposite side of the end-zone if I had a man open. Otherwise I'd run that shit in. Bernie had like 30+ yds rushing in that game...realistic, right?

Final play...

Bernie runs the bootleg, pump-fakes to Slaughter on the left side of the endzone...just as Bernie turns an LB flies at his face. Bernie turns away from the hit, leaps into the air, spins in a circle and shits everywhere. Bernie was spraying shit all over the field. Before the game I had selected the option to eat Mexican on the sideline. Wise choice. I took Bernie past two blockers behind the line and actually had to stop behind the second block so as not to shit myself out of bounds. Bernie was shitting so hard and so powerfully that my controller was rumbling. I waited behind the blocker for a split second, ducked a hit and dove away from the pylon and kept the ball in bounds...all the while Bernies ass was exploding from the inside. All the defenders that came after Bernie had dump all over their faces. You could see em crouched on the sideline with shit all in their teefs.

My mom threw down her controller and never played Madden again.

I was playing my friend, and he was up by 5 with 2 seconds left.. he just kicked a field goal he then kicked the ball to me I was the Browns he was the all madden team.. I then ran it straight up the middle.. I was tackled it was fumbled.. he then tried to take it bake, but then he fumbled at the 5.. I picked it up and ran all the way down the sideline.. for the winning touchdown.. The guy won't even play me anymore by the way it was Madden 2004.. and I think Andre King took it back..

3 years ago I fake punted my way to a Super Bowl...

1st and goal on the 3 yard line, and I line up the punting unit with my Ty Detmer QB towel that was tucked in his pants, masking as "the white flag in surrender" (WINK*WINK).. I fake the punt, Gardocki throws a laser to my man, OJ Santiago, in the end zone..

Yeah I don't play with unreal oppenents. I was in an NBA2k6 league on 360 that was "simulation" meaning you don't shoot all 3's and score 100 points with Iverson and stuff like that.
