We are only allowed 15 roster spots come season opener. If Allen indeeds comes, it means we would have one slot open. Would have to waive Kirk and Powell to fit Billups and Z. I would really like to have an open roster spot to chase Okafor in Decemeber!

Z looked done in 2010, what could be possibly have left 4 years later. Maybe appear in 10-15 games?

Well, he could certainly help with protecting the rim if he were able to get down the court.

You never know.

This sounds really implausible to me...the guy is almost 40 and we just retired his jersey.

On the other hand, it would be quite a spectacle if he suited up again...

Just coming over to talk about this. I can't see Z being a towel waver at the end of the bench but who knows? He'd have to be able to play a legit 10 minutes a game for this to be worth it but I can see LeBron pushing this, though.

But yeah, I'd love to see Z get a ring in Cleveland.
Yep, and we know who runs the team.

For what it is worth Lane Adkins from the OBR is saying he has heard Z wants to comeback as well.

Max is pretty close to Z...... Cant wait to hear from him!

I know that the Cavs have defied all odds this offseason with the #1 pick, Lebron, love etc.

But for people to be talking about a 39 year old zydrunas ilgauskas joining the Cavs, as a player this upcoming season is just ludicrous.

It's like Sandy Alomar Jr coming out of retirement to help the tribe make the playoffs because Yan Gomes got hurt.

Screw it, let's sign Z if he can actually give us 10 minutes a night on the court. Looks like the Cavs are all-in on going for a title this year year and Z getting a title is just a cherry on top. If this actually comes true the first home game is going to be madness when Z and LeBron are intro'd.

I would prefer Alomar over Swisher without any hesitation.

I'm honestly in shock that this is being discussed but even more shocked that I actually considering that it might be possible.

It might come down to who has more left in the tank Haywood or Z.

I think the answer is C, neither has a shot to contribute at this point.

I honestly wouldn't mind signing Z as an emergency C/end of bench guy if he can actually handle it. Get the guy his ring.
