Blazers players worried LaMarcus Aldridge will leave

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As always, everything he says is to be taken with a grain of salt...and some more

Yeah, I was gonna say, you guys know I always stick up for Windy but he sounded like a high school girl excited on a tangent when he was saying all this. So maybe he was just caught up in the moment? :chuckle:

But if true, it's troublesome. He did go on to say that everything Love said/did was contrary to the popular belief; as in, Love acts like he's staying, while everyone says he's leaving.

Well, if true (unlikely) and if this Aldridge story is true (who knows)...things could be worse than having LMA on the team.

Yeah, well, he addressed this too. Actually said it was possible but highly unlikely, contingent on Love wanting to play in Portland. We'd have to trade for LMA from what I assume.

I don't think it's true either. But if for whatever weird ass reason that it is, Love for LA immediately please.

This isn't true.. We don't need to trade Love for LMA. We can match salaries with Haywood+whatever.

So Portland wouldn't want anything of value?

They could lose LMA for nothing, or they could get draft picks...

Haywood has tremendous value to lots of teams; at a minimum he'd be flipped for a mid-first rounder.

We could add talent including Shump or Thompson depending upon what was going on.

I was discussing this in the other Aldridge thread when I was advocating the Cavaliers actually trade for LaMarcus Aldridge while retaining Love, playing him at center for roughly half his minutes..

How could you trade love for LA. Wouldn't love be opting out.

I have to believe he is just eating all those grains of salt.

You probably wouldn't trade Love anywhere.

If Love leaves and goes wherever he wants, we'd sign-and-trade other players for LMA and play him at PF/C.

If Love stays, we could still sign-and-trade for LMA and play him at PF/C but some argue it might not be a great fit.
